Jeremy Clarkson says he’s ‘in trouble again’ after ‘bother’ with lawyers

Jeremy Clarkson has warned fans that he’s in “trouble again” after advertising his new lager brand for Dry January. The former Top Gear host is the owner of Hawkstone Lager, a beer and cider brand brewed in Gloucestershire.

In the Instagram video, a person behind the camera asks: “Jeremy, where are we?” to which he replies: “I’ll tell you. I’m in a lot of bother, because I recently described Hawkstone’s brand new ultra-low lager as the healthy alternative.

“But I’ve been told by the lawyers, you can’t actually say that. I don’t know why, because compared to heroin it’s much healthier.” Jeremy then takes a sip of his drink and gasps: “F*** me that’s relaxing.”

Many of his 7.3 million followers flocked to the comments section to react to Clarkson’s dilemma. One fan wrote: “‘Compared to heroin’ he’s so effortlessly funny.”

A second chimed in: “Drinking Hawkstone helps the gravitational pull of his genius. It’s really quite frightening,” and a third fan typed: “I tried Hawkstone for the first time a few days ago. Cracking beer.”

A fourth chimed in: “I can see the relaxation after every sip Jeremy,” whilst a fifth follower joked: “Challenge those clowns. Unless you’re explicitly violating a law then they’re just expressing an opinion.”

This isn’t the first time that Jeremy has experienced problems with his lager brand, as last year he issued a warning to consumers that some bottles of his cider “might explode”.

Sharing in a tweet in July 2023, he said: “There’s been a massive c**k up and as a result, there’s a very slim chance, some of our Hawkstone CIDER bottles might, there’s no easy way of saying this, explode.”

He then urged buyers to pour away the damaged bottles and request a refund: “If the cap has the code L3160, open it underwater, pour it away and get in touch for a refund. Info@Hawkstone.co.

“Really sorry about this but on the upside, the beer is fine and still delicious. As is the cider, in bottles that are unaffected. Which is almost all of them.”

Fans are eagerly waiting for the third season of Clarkson’s Farm to air on Amazon Prime. The successful hit show finished filming in October and follows Clarkson as he attempts to make his farm in the Cotswolds profitable.
