Jessica Biel Reveals Her Arm Workouts After Filming ‘The Better Sister’

Jessica Biel has delighted her fans by unveiling her detailed arm and back workout routine.

The 43-year-old actress took to Instagram on Saturday, November 22, to share her preferred exercises in a collaborative post with her trainer, Ben Bruno. This revelation came after fans raved about her physique in the show The Better Sister.

“The reality is, while Jessica certainly dedicates time to her back and arms, her workout sessions aren’t divided into specific days for each muscle group,” Bruno, 38, explained. This comment was paired with a video showing Biel gripping rings and lifting her body with her legs supported on a bench.

Another video captured Biel using a resistance band, balancing on one arm and leg, while performing crunches.

Jessica Biel has been a familiar face since her role as Mary Camden on 7th Heaven. Throughout her career, she has been candid about her fitness journey. In an April 2018 interview with Women’s Health, Biel shared that after encountering challenges in her 20s, she embraced yoga as her preferred form of exercise, which has been a constant in her wellness routine ever since.

Bruno continued, “She does full body workouts that combine upper body exercises, lower body exercises, core work and a bunch of things that work everything at once to maximize efficiency.”

Next, Biel balanced with one foot on a bench and bent into a squat position. She worked out her arms by holding a dumbbell and lifting it.

“Side note, this is also a great way to do it if you don’t wanna do a bunch of extra cardio too,” Bruno added. “Jess is super strong and likes to push herself, but she’s not so interested in lifting super, super heavy weights.”

Elsewhere in the video, Biel lifted more dumbbells while leaning back and gripping onto a ring, doing pull-ups while lying down and more. “In a given workout, she does one exercise for the back, which also works the biceps, one exercise for the shoulders, and one exercise for the triceps,” Bruno explained. “Plus, some other moves for legs and abs sprinkled in.”

Bruno also reminded followers that everyone’s body fluctuates. “The super-toned physique you see on screen isn’t attainable all year round. Jess knows that, so she spends most of the year working out consistently, but not crazy by any means,” he continued. “If there’s a time she needs to look her absolute best, she’ll ramp it up for a few weeks and then go back to normal.”

He then shared a clip of Biel lifting herself off the ground by doing pull-ups, which was taken right before she filmed The Better Sister a year and a half ago. “In the name of transparency, she’s never done this move since and has been very clear that she has no intention to do so,” Bruno noted.

Her celebrity friends and fans praised her rigorous workout routine in the comments section.

“Oh just doing sitting pull-ups like it’s nothing.. 😂,” actress Christina Milian wrote. A fan added, “She is a beast. Those exercises are hard AF,” while another commented, “She is SO strong, and form is flawless!!”
