As The View co-hosts, including Whoopi Goldberg, Ana Navarro, and Sunny Hostin, discussed Zarin’s departure and her subsequent statement, an insider revealed that the 62-year-old seems to be lacking remorse and is not taking responsibility for her actions.

“Jill is in complete disarray,” the insider shared with Radar Online on February 12. “She’s upset about being let go and is struggling to comprehend the reason behind it. There is no sign of regret from her side.”

Rather than apologizing for her offensive comments regarding Bad Bunny’s performance, Zarin is reportedly attempting to deflect blame and is accused of “gaslighting” the situation.

Instead of being apologetic for the offensive statements she made about Bad Bunny’s show, Jill has reportedly been “gaslighting.”

“She’s blaming the response to her comments instead of reflecting and taking accountability for them,” the source explained. “She’s not looking within and realizing she did something wrong.”

As for The View, Whoopi brought up Jill’s firing, noting that it came after the “racist rant she posted and deleted.”

“To this has-been housewife, washed-up lady, I say to her, we don’t care. I don’t care,” Ana replied. “Here’s the thing: There’s literally nothing they can do at this point to take away our joy and our pride and the happiness.”

According to Ana, Bad Bunny’s performance was like a “hug” for the Latin community, and something that Jill was “not going to take [away].”

Sunny then pointed to someone who had allegedly defended Jill’s rant.

“[What’s] slightly disturbing to me, though, was Jill Zarin said that it was just terrible because it was in Spanish and nobody white was on … But one of her friends is sticking up for her, saying, ‘What’s the big deal? Half the country feels that way.’ And that was really disturbing to me because I’m like, ‘So, half the country is racist?’” she asked. “How can someone defend it by saying, ‘So many people thought that it was racist?’”

Ana then said, “I want to stop talking about this lady. This lady hasn’t been relevant in decades.”

No word yet on when The Golden Life will begin filming.
