Lisa Hochstein’s boyfriend Jody Glidden recalled an off-camera conversation with her, and suggested that Real Housewives of Miami was “clearly trying to imply” AC was his “code word.” He also hinted that his onscreen talk with Larsa Pippen was edited to look a certain way.
On the new season, Larsa slammed Lisa for letting Jody hang out with Larsa’s ex Marcus Jordan. Later on, during a party, he and some friends were filmed going to a separate room of the house to get some “AC.” Fans then speculated that AC was their code for something illicit. After the episode aired, Lisa accused the show of manipulative editing.
“I remember [Lisa] telling me early into the relationship … ‘Are you sure you want to do this? Because this is gonna get really crazy,’” recalled Jody on The Eds podcast with Edwin Arroyave and Eddie Judge. “[But] I was thinking like, how crazy could it really get?”
Eddie, who’s married to fellow Bravoleb Tamra Judge, expressed, “My biggest advice has always been to stay out of the cameras, to stay out of the drama, don’t get involved.”
“This is what I tried to do,” Jody replied. “When I heard that this was probably gonna … happen in season two, [the] first thing I [said is] I’m not gonna film season two.”
“I see that they’re clearly trying to imply … that AC was some code word,” he continued. “And some people have even [claimed it means] ‘adult candy’ or something like that. It’s just so stretching.”
As for his onscreen confrontation with Larsa, Jody hinted that it was edited to look a certain way.
“Larsa came right up and confronted me at my birthday. They clipped the whole argument and they made it look like she confronted me and I [responded] like, ‘Aaah! Aaah!’” recalled Jody. He also seemed to suggest that he has a connection to Marcus because they both “joined the show at the same time.”
New episodes of The Real Housewives of Miami air Wednesdays on Bravo.
