In a recent podcast appearance, Joe Gorga revealed that his sister, Teresa Giudice, has made an effort to reconnect. Speaking on Eddie Judge and Edwin Arroyave’s show, Joe discussed the possibility of mending ties with Teresa, who is 53, following her expressed desire to reconcile not only with him but also with his wife, Melissa Gorga, 46.

During the conversation, the 50-year-old star of The Real Housewives of New Jersey opened up about the potential meeting. He shared his hopes for the future, noting the challenges they face due to past conflicts. Joe also shared insights into how he and Melissa have managed the family tensions while raising their children.
“She sent me a text. She reached out wanting to meet up,” Joe shared on the October 14 episode of The Eds podcast, indicating a possible thaw in the long-standing family feud.
After Teresa, 53, expressed interest in reconciling with him and his wife, Melissa Gorga, 46, the 50-year-old Real Housewives of New Jersey star spoke of their potential future meeting as he shared his expectations, accused Teresa of doing “horrific things” in the past, and explained how he and Melissa navigated their family feud with their kids.
“She did text me. She reached out. She would like to sit down and meet,” Joe began on the October 14 episode of The Eds.
Because Joe is “the guy who [he is],” describing himself as a “good brother,” he said he’s open to moving forward.
“I’ve never wanted to argue with her ever. It was not my intention, so I’ll hear her out. I’d like to hear her out, see what she has to say. But if I sit down with her and I hear her out, it has to be a lot of, it has to be very humble,” he noted. “It has to come from a humble place. It has to be real. It has to be, you know, ‘I’ve made mistakes,’ and we can move forward.”
After admitting that he wasn’t sure if Teresa’s desire to reconcile was motivated by her wanting to remain on the RHONJ cast, Joe said he’s not the type to “turn his back on anyone,” no matter what they’ve done.
“We have to be examples for people,” he reasoned. “Look at this society, like look at this war that’s going on in life. If no one made up, there’d be no ceasefire ever … It’s this nonsense of arguing and fighting. For what? For what? There’s no reasons.”
“I’m chill. I’m relaxed. You could hurt me. But as long as you apologize to me, I’ll accept it. I’m kind of a pushover. I got a good heart, and I’d rather not argue or hold a grudge the rest of my life. For what? So we’ll see. We’ll see,” he continued. “I’m here to help if I can help her. We have to help and do what we do as who we are, as good people. It’s what we do, so it’s hard to turn your back.”
While Joe is open to a conversation with his sister, he said it “took [him] a minute” to get on board with the idea.
“She’s done some horrific things to me, but it’s okay. We forgive,” he stated.
As for Melissa’s reaction to Teresa reaching out, Joe said his wife had a “heart of gold.”
“She comes from a family that is, the love is insane. They love each other and respect each other, and they bring each other up. So she has forgiven my sister so many times … that’s what I respect about her,” he revealed. “She listens to me. She loves me. She loves our family.”
According to Joe, it is important that, amid his drama with Teresa, his children remain in a good place with their aunt.
“[Melissa’s] not here to teach our children to hate. Our kids, to this day, we never say anything bad, ever. ‘That’s your aunt. Go say hi. Go see her,’ always nice things because we don’t want to raise our children like that,” he explained. “What kind of parents would we be to put them in our argument? It’s our argument. You can’t do that.”
The Real Housewives of New Jersey is currently on pause ahead of its 15th season.
