Julian Lennon, 59, took to Twitter over the weekend following his run in with his dad’s pal and Beatles bandmate, Paul McCartney, 80.

The pair bumped into each other by chance in an airport lounge and even took time to pose for a selfie.

Alongside the pictures, Julian wrote: “It’s Amazing who you run into in an airport Lounge! None other than Uncle Paul. So, so lovely, and what are the chances… Thankful.” (sic)

Thousands of Beatles fans took to the comments to share their joy at the surprise reunion. Julia gushed: “This makes me about as happy as a person can be.”

While user @rrjr724 echoed: “I’m a huge Beatles fan. This is such a great pic. They have so much history together.”
