Wedding bells are in the air!
Jordyn Woods and Karl-Anthony Towns have taken the next step in their relationship, announcing their engagement on the joyful occasion of Christmas Day.
In a heartwarming Instagram post shared on Thursday, the couple delighted fans with a series of photos capturing the festive moment. They cleverly captioned their joint announcement with the playful pun, “Marry Christmas 🎄❤️💍.”
The 30-year-old New York Knicks star made the day unforgettable by dropping to one knee and presenting Woods with a stunning emerald-cut diamond engagement ring, marking the beginning of their journey together as an engaged couple.
Woods, aged 28, couldn’t hide her joy and surprise, beaming with happiness as she said “Yes” to her future with the love of her life. It was a magical moment filled with love and excitement for what lies ahead.
Photos showed the lovebirds hugging and kissing while celebrating the next milestone in their relationship.
Their engagement unfolded on the rooftop of New York City hotspot Overstory, which offered beautiful views of the Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan Bridge.
Woods was dressed for the cold weather in a large white shearling coat layered over a cream gown.
She accessorized with pointed-toe heels and went with a very bridal manicure and an updo.
Towns, for his part, looked stylish in a brown suede jacket layered over a collared shirt and striped tie with black pants.
They were joined by family members for the occasion and posed for photos with their loved ones.
Her younger sister, Jodie Woods, celebrated the happy news by sharing photos on her Instagram Story, gushing that it was “the most beautiful evening.”
Following his proposal, the pair celebrated their love with some nice bottles of wine.
Earlier in the day, Towns helped lead the Knicks in defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers at Madison Square Garden, 126–124.
Hours before the announcement, Jordyn expressed her deep gratitude in an Instagram Story post, which read, “God thank you for everythiiiiiiiiing!!!!!”
Jordyn and Towns started dating in 2020 after meeting through mutual friends.
They celebrated their five-year anniversary in May. At the time, Towns was playing in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals.
“The focus today is the playoffs!!!” Jordyn wrote on her Instagram Story at the time.
“But happy 5 years to us… time has just flown by but as also felt like we’ve been together forever!”
Jordyn is often seen cheering for Towns at his NBA games, most recently when the Knicks beat the Spurs in Las Vegas earlier this month.
They have been serious for quite some time now and even purchased a $14 million home in Los Angeles last September.
