When a divorce battle finally reaches its conclusion, most former couples turn their attention to rebuilding their lives—and assessing the financial damage left behind.
For Silvio Scaglia, however, the end of his long-running financial dispute with ex-wife Julia Haart has opened another legal chapter. A judge is now seeking his imprisonment over conduct allegedly carried out during the divorce case.
Last week, it was reported that the Italian tech entrepreneur and Haart, his former wife and business partner, had resolved their four-year, $90 million divorce fight. Under the agreement, Haart retained Elite, the high-profile modeling agency the pair operated during their short marriage.
But court records obtained by Page Six indicate that New York Judge Jeffrey Pearlman has issued a bench warrant without bail for Scaglia and ordered that he be taken into custody for 14 days.
The filings allege that Scaglia violated a law prohibiting spouses from transferring jointly held property after divorce proceedings have begun. The alleged violation involves the transfer of Elite, whose roster includes Kendall Jenner, Adriana Lima and other major fashion names, without Haart’s approval.
The judge also accused Scaglia of “siphon[ing]” assets that once belonged to the couple. As previously reported, Pearlman determined that the businessman used company money to purchase Bentley and Porsche vehicles, along with Van Cleef & Arpels jewelry.

Pearlman also maintains that Scaglia must face consequences for failing to comply with multiple court directives. In 2024, Page Six reported that the businessman had already been ordered jailed after allegedly disregarding an instruction to pay Haart $300,000.
Scaglia is believed to be in his native Italy and has not turned himself over to US authorities in connection with the allegations.
Documents dated Sept. 22 state that Pearlman found Scaglia in both civil and criminal contempt, concluding that he knowingly and deliberately violated the court’s orders.
Scaglia acquired Elite in 2011. In March 2019, he named fashion designer Haart—who later became known for the Netflix reality series “My Unorthodox Life”—as chief executive of the prestigious modeling company. The couple married later that same year.
Their 2022 breakup quickly evolved into a bitter legal fight, with both sides filing lawsuits and countersuits over control of Elite and its related businesses.
Haart has now been awarded full ownership of Elite World Group, as well as the couple’s $57 million Tribeca residence. The court concluded that Scaglia had already taken the value of his stake in the company “and then some,” allegedly receiving it through cash, luxury sports cars and other assets. His attorneys have previously rejected the allegations.
Scaglia and his representatives did not respond to requests for comment.
