Julia Roberts is still smitten with husband Danny Moder after 23 years of marriage!
The After the Hunt star, 57, gushed over her man in an interview with Entertainment Tonight published on Sunday, September 28, as she and costars Andrew Garfield and Ayo Edebiri were asked about the “element that brings you joy.”
“In life?” Roberts asked, before pondering her answer.
Garfield, 42, responded, “It changes all the time.” Roberts then interjected, “Mine doesn’t.”
“What is it?” Garfield asked his actor, to which the Oscar winner emphatically replied, “Danny Moder.”
“I knew you were going to say that!” Edebiri, 29, chimed in, prompting laughter from Roberts, Garfield and costar Michael Stuhlbarg.
“Never changes. Never changes!” Roberts said with a laugh. “Sometimes more. Sometimes medium.”
Roberts’ sweet declaration of love for her husband inspired Garfield and Edebiri’s own answers when they were asked the question.
“Danny Moder,” Garfield, then Edebiri, said without hesitation as Roberts chuckled.
Edebiri added, “He’s an amazing man and a beautiful father.”
Roberts and Moder, 56, tied the knot in July 2002 after meeting on the set of The Mexican in 2000. Moder served as cinematographer on the film, while Roberts and Brad Pitt played the lead roles.
The couple welcomed twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, 20, in November 2004, followed by son Henry, 18, in June 2007.
The Erin Brockovich actress has previously opened up about her happy family life.
In an October 2022 interview on CBS News Sunday Morning, Roberts said, “When I’m not working, [being a homemaker] is my full-time job. It isn’t rainbows and kittens every day, but it does bring me a lot of joy.”
“It’s just never consumed me, being an actor. It is my dream come true, but it is not my only dream come true,” she added. “The life that I have built with my husband [and] the life that we’ve built with our children, that’s the best stuff. To come home at the end of the day, triumphantly, to them.”
Roberts also gave an insight into her sweet dynamic with Moder, revealing that they write each other notes even when they’re apart.
“[Writing handwritten notes is] something Danny and I have always done,” she said. “The first letter he ever wrote me, which was seven pages long, I still have it tucked away. One day, I’ll show it to Hazel and say, ‘That’s what you’re looking for.’”
