Although people don’t love Julia Roberts’s rom-com Ticket To Paradise, getting the chance to see the actress in a new movie is always an exciting experience. She has scaled back her acting career and public appearances since having her three children Hazel Moder, Phinnaeus Moder, and Henry Daniel Moder. Now that Hazel is 18, it’s only natural to be curious if she is going to be a star like her mother. While nepo babies face criticism, of course, people can’t help which family they are born into.

What Has Julia Roberts’s Daughter Hazel Moder Said About Her Acting Career?
Several nepo babies are great at what they do and they seem to have a real knack for singing or acting. Children of famous actors definitely live a distinct life, and they must get used to seeing their parents all dressed up for red carpets and movie premieres. Being the daughter of Julia Roberts must be an amazing experience since she is such a beloved star.
As for what Hazel Moder really thinks about Julia Roberts, she hasn’t said anything. Unlike other nepo babies, she doesn’t maintain an Instagram or TikTok account.
In a 2018 interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Roberts explained a little bit about what her kids thought about her being such a big part of Hollywood. She said, ‘I don’t think they will ever have a true sense of [my fame]. When they were starting to figure it out, it was like, “You’re famous?’ And I said, “I think a lot of people might have seen the movie that I’m in or might know who I am.”‘
Hazel Moder went to Cannes when she was 16 years old, and according to Mirror.co.uk, she was there because Danny Moder directed a movie called Flag Day. There are many photos of the father and daughter on the red carpet.
Although this must have been exciting for Hazel, there is no indication that she has spoken about her mother’s career. And she doesn’t seem to have said anything public about the movies that her dad makes, either.

According to Page Six, when Roberts was interviewed on CBS This Morning, she said, “When I’m not working, [being a homemaker] is my full-time job. The life that I have built with my husband, [and] the life that we’ve built with our children, that’s the best stuff. To come home at the end of the day, triumphantly, to them.”
Although Hazel doesn’t talk to the press, Julia Roberts has said a few things about how she has brought up her daughter. According to Hello Magazine! in her interview with CBS This Morning she mentioned that she wants to make sure that Hazel knows what qualities her future partner should have.

Roberts said, “I wrote a lot of letters.” She joked about wanting to write these letters instead of e-mails and mentioned that she wanted to include stamps.
The actress continued, “it’s something Danny and I have always done. The first letter he ever wrote me, which was seven pages long, I still have it tucked away. One day I’ll show it to Hazel and say, ‘That’s what you’re looking for.'”

It’s easy to think that Hazel Moder would be a totally natural actress since Julia Roberts has been making great movies since the 1990s. After all, if Julia Roberts’s daughter starred in a romantic comedy, it would likely be a huge hit. So many people would be eager to see what Hazel was like as an actress.
However, while Hazel is now 18, it seems that her family is keeping her future plans private. While she might be getting ready to go to college, her plans haven’t been made public. And if she has acting ambitions, no one is sure about that.
Although Hazel herself doesn’t talk to the media, Julia Roberts shared a funny story about Hazel walking the Cannes red carpet with her father Danny Moder. Since the photos got so much attention, it was cool to hear a little bit about the behind-the-scenes.
According to Hello! Magazine, Roberts told CBS News that she and Hazel were talking beforehand on FaceTime and she asked her daughter if she was going to put some eyeliner on.
Roberts said, “She was, like, ‘I didn’t bring eyeliner, Mom, what are you talkin’ about?’ It’s, like, ‘Okay, yeah.’ I mean, what eyeliner?”
Roberts continued to CBS News that she loved that for Hazel, she was spending time with her father Danny Moder and she wasn’t concerned with Cannes being a major movie awards show. Roberts said, “I mean, who needs eyeliner? Just Cannes! I mean, it’s just sweet, just the innocence. She’s just with her dad. It’s not about anything else.”
Although it’s unclear if Hazel would want to be an actress, her mother’s comments suggest that maybe she isn’t all that interested in Hollywood. She looked calm on the red carpet and didn’t seem phased by the huge event that she was at.
While fans of Julia Roberts aren’t sure what Hazel Moder is going to do in the future, one thing is certain: if she does decide to act, people will be very interested to watch her career progress.
