Justin Baldoni is breaking his silence after reaching a resolution in his protracted legal dispute with Blake Lively.
The actor took to Instagram on Wednesday, joined by his wife, Emily Baldoni. She expressed their “immense gratitude” towards everyone who has stood by them since Lively’s allegations emerged in December 2024.
Reflecting on the journey, Justin, 42, remarked, “Gratitude has saved us.”
However, Emily was quick to point out that their gratitude does not erase the “injustice and pain” they have endured over the past few years.
She shared their struggle, saying, “We’ve tried to wrestle with so many things and understand how something like this could happen, especially when it masquerades as a fight for women.”
The father of two shared why they waited two years to speak out.
“There have been so many painful things spoken into existence,” Justin said — as his wife interjected, “untruthful” — “and that created so much noise and we didn’t want to add to the noise. So we just wanted to let the justice system run its course.”
Emily added, “And the truth and facts have spoken for themselves.”
The director said the two are “healing” after going through a traumatic experience. He thanked fans who vocally supported them when they couldn’t speak for themselves.
“Thank you is not enough,” he noted.
Justin and Lively, 38, settled their intense court battle stemming from their film, “It Ends With Us,” on May 4 — just two weeks before their trial was scheduled to begin.
The settlement came a month after a judge threw out 10 out of 13 of Lively’s claims, including her claim that Justin sexually harassed her.
In a joint statement to Page Six about their settlement, the two noted, “The end product — the movie ‘It Ends With Us’ — is a source of pride to all of us who worked to bring it to life. Raising awareness, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of domestic violence survivors — and all survivors — is a goal that we stand behind.”
They continued, “We acknowledge the process presented challenges and recognize concerns raised by Ms. Lively deserved to be heard.”
Both parties added that they “remain firmly committed to workplaces free of improprieties and unproductive environments” and it is their “sincere hope that this brings closure and allows all involved to move forward constructively and in peace, including a respectful environment online.”
Page Six confirmed that neither Lively nor Justin earned any money in their settlement.
However, both Lively and Justin’s legal teams made $60 million combined to sue and countersue one another, sources told Page Six Hollywood.
Just hours after the settlement, Lively attended the 2026 Met Gala, where she posed on the red carpet in a pastel archival Versace gown from 2006. A day later, her husband, Ryan Reynolds, also shared a carefree selfie of the two.
Justin also appears unbothered.
The “Jane the Virgin” alum and his wife, Emily, were spotted in good spirits earlier this month in Nashville, Tennessee. The two held hands while visiting local eatery the Little Rad Market in exclusive pics obtained by Page Six.
