Justin Bieber is grateful for forgiveness and love, even if he believes he doesn’t deserve it.
The singer shared a cryptic but emotional message via Instagram on Tuesday, August 12, that touched on his faith and gratitude.
“Grateful for a new day,” he wrote. “Grateful for Jesus. He meets me every morning with forgiveness and love…that I truly don’t deserve. So grateful that he gives this love so freely, so graciously. Wouldn’t be able to get thru the day without his love. It meets me at my lowest.”
The message was written alongside a pair of closeup selfies of Bieber, 31, in which he is biting his bottom lip. In the photos, the Ontario native is wearing a Toronto Maple Leafs Starter jacket, prompting the NHL club to reply with a pair of blue heart emojis.
Bieber’s photos were among a flurry of posts he’s made to the platform in the past two days. Earlier on Tuesday, he posted a screenshot of a text conversation with a contact named SKYLRK in which he said he was “Tired emotionally. And physically,” but, “Tomorrow gonna be a great day.”
He posted a black-and-white close-up selfie before that with the caption, “Praying away the feeling of being wrong.”
Bieber has frequently shared his emotions on Instagram, and on Tuesday, like always, fans flocked to the comments to show their support.
“You are deserving of his love. Sending you love, strength and prayers!” actress Tamara Mena wrote under his “forgiveness and love” post. “You got this! There’s a reason we’re here!🙏❤️.”
“You deserve all the love and grace you receive, more than you know,” wrote another fan. “Keep your head up 💜”
Bieber’s string of Instagram posts comes one month after the release of his album Swag, his first since 2021. It’s also two months after a source close to the singer and his wife, Hailey Bieber, told Us Weekly exclusively that Justin “has felt lost recently.”
“His friend group around him has shifted, and he is going through a lot of changes,” the source explained.
Justin and Hailey share 11-month-old son Jack Blues.
“Navigating fatherhood, trying to put out music [and] past traumas surfacing has been a lot for him,” the source said, adding, “People close to him worry he may be hanging out with the wrong people. He has cut a lot of friends out of his life and has a hard time trusting others at this point when it comes to his music and business affairs.”
