Jenni “JWoww” Farley recently addressed critics of her body image after sharing her first swimsuit photo in five years.
In a lighthearted Instagram video posted on Tuesday, June 9, JWoww recounted, “I opened my emails to find a Google alert with a headline like, ‘JWoww: Deathly sick,’ all because I’ve lost some weight,” she chuckled, adding, “I’m at a loss for words.”
Continuing her response, she remarked, “You just can’t win. Put on a few pounds, and you’re labeled a ‘fat piece of s***.’ Lose some, and suddenly, you must be battling a grave illness.”
The Jersey Shore alum revealed that her weight dropped from 150 pounds to 135 thanks to increased workouts. She also mentioned that she had been unwell following a trip to Miami in May.
“I shed a few pounds. I’m a woman in my 40s; I’m 41, to be precise,” she explained. “It wasn’t intentional. I doubt it’ll last—weight fluctuates, especially for women in their 40s. I might gain ten pounds by summer’s end, sparking new headlines like ‘You fat b****,’ or ‘Oh no, she’s gained weight,’ or even ‘Is she pregnant?’ I hope I’m not dealing with something serious, for goodness’ sake.”
JWoww went on to say that she didn’t “purposefully lose weight.”
“I’m sorry you guys haven’t seen me in shorts and a bathing suit in five years. I haven’t worn one publicly because you guys criticize,” she said. “This is just a small dose of what it’s like being a female in this day and age.”

“Keep shining 💕,” Sammi Sweetheart Giancola wrote, while JWoww’s fiancé, Zack Clayton, playfully commented, “Donuts and tacos tonight for dinner.”
JWoww’s comments come after she posted a sizzling hot swimsuit pic earlier this week. In the photo, she lay on her side on a daybed while rocking a sexy one-piece featuring high-cut legs, a cheeky back and a plunging neckline. She completed her look with a black baseball cap.
