She’s here! Kaley Cuoco and Tom Pelphrey are officially parents after the actress gave birth to their baby girl on Thursday, March 30.
“Introducing, Matilda Carmine Richie Pelphrey, the new light of our lives! We are overjoyed and grateful for this little miracle 💓,” the Flight Attendant actress, 37, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, April 1. “Thank you to the doctors, nurses, family and friends who have helped us immensely over the last few days. We are blessed beyond belief.”
She added: “@tommypelphrey didn’t think I could fall even more in love with you, but I did 💗.”
Pelphrey, 40, also shared their daughter’s arrival via his Instagram, praising Cuoco’s “strength and bravery” during the delivery.
The 8 Simple Rules alum revealed via social media in October that she was pregnant with her first child, a daughter.
“💕Baby girl Pelphrey coming 2023💕beyond blessed and over the moon … I 💓you @tommypelphrey !!!” Cuoco wrote alongside several photos of her and the Ozark alum, who uploaded an equally sweet announcement via his own account at the time.
Days after the couple shared the happy news, Pelphrey gushed in an interview about looking forward to meeting his daughter.
“We’re so excited,” the Guiding Light alum told Extra. “It’s the most incredible thing. We feel very blessed, very fortunate [and] very lucky. Everybody’s healthy. It’s a beautiful thing.”
Cuoco and Pelphrey went public with their romance in May 2022, making their red carpet debut as a couple at the Emmys that September. Before her pregnancy reveal, the Meet Cute star always knew that she was meant to be a mother.

“I’m not quite there yet but I know that I will be ‘cause I love kids,” the Big Bang Theory alum, who was married to Karl Cook at the time, revealed to Entertainment Tonight in 2018. “But I’m a worker bee right now — kind of my career is my focus and my husband. But, we love kids and we love animals so we’re meant to have children.”
Prior to her relationship with Pelphrey, the California native was married to Ryan Sweeting from 2013 to 2016. She and Cook, 31, split in September 2021 after three years of marriage. Their divorce was finalized in June.
Despite her many ups and downs, Cuoco still describes her past relationships with fondness.
“I believe in love because I’ve had incredible relationships. I know that they’re out there,” the Flight Attendant star shared with Glamour in April. “We’ve all been there where you think, ‘Oh, my God, I’m never going to meet someone else.’ And you do. There are great people that come into your life and they leave your life. And there are reasons for all of it.”
When the Emmy nominee was introduced to the Broadway star at the Ozark premiere that same month, she later said it was like “love at first sight.”
“We have the same manager, [Andrea Pett-Joseph], and we were set up by [her], which is so Hollywood. She’s like, ‘Oh, my God, I think you guys are perfect for each other,’” the Wedding Ringer actress explained in an interview with USA Today in May. “I was standing with Andrea and Tom walked in, and I heard his voice, and I turned around, and it was like my life was over, or just starting … It was love at first sight. We were immediately connected. I do feel like I’ve known him my whole life, but I wasn’t ready for him. We’re ready to build a life together.”
