Former star of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kandi Burruss, is leveraging footage from Bravo to counteract claims made by her estranged husband Todd Tucker concerning their prenuptial agreement, as reported exclusively by Us Weekly.
On Monday, December 1, Burruss submitted an updated divorce petition, refuting Tucker’s assertion that he had been coerced into signing their 2014 prenup without legal counsel present.
Burruss contends that Tucker was, in fact, represented by a prominent attorney prior to their marriage, challenging his argument that the agreement is invalid due to lack of legal guidance.
“The process leading to an enforceable Prenuptial Agreement was documented and aired on the Bravo television network, with both [Burruss] and [Tucker] fully aware and consenting, as part of their reality TV wedding series titled Kandi’s Wedding, which debuted on June 1, 2014,” Burruss’ attorney stated in the filing, as reviewed by Us Weekly.
Burruss’ lawyer also noted that in the documentary, Tucker “audibly announced” that he was “good to sign” the prenuptial agreement during a private encounter with Burruss and after talking to his lawyer “on and off camera.”

As Us first reported, Tucker alleged in court that he was given the prenuptial agreement before the April 2014 wedding, but his lawyer was not present when he was given the final draft.
“Despite that knowledge, [Burruss’] counsel presented the final agreement to [Tucker] for signature immediately before the wedding ceremony, without any notice to or consultation with [Tucker’s team], who had been significantly engaged in the negotiation process,” Tucker’s filing alleged.
Tucker, who asked for sole primary custody, also asked for alimony if the court rules the prenup not enforceable.
As Us first reported, on November 26 Tucker filed court docs claiming Burruss’ work will require her to be away from the kids for several months. He said he hoped to work out a custody deal with Burruss, but if not he wanted the court to award him primary custody with Burruss having visitation.

Burruss filed for divorce on November 21 and asked for joint legal and physical custody, a request that has now changed. In her amended divorce petition, Burruss modified her proposal to share joint custody to demand primary custody of their son Ace, born in 2016, and daughter Blaze, born in 2019.
In her filing, her lawyer noted that both Burruss and Tucker are “public figures and self-employed entrepreneurs.” She said she has paid for their children’s nanny whenever they had to travel for work.
Burruss said she was not the only parent to have to travel. Her lawyer noted, “Both [Burruss] and [Tucker] have held professional obligations that have required each party to travel away from the home for extended period of times, independently and jointly, prior to and after the births of both of the minor children.”
The RHOA alum added that on top of the nanny their children have a “diverse and concentrated family support network, which includes maternal grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins within a five to 20-mile radius of the family residence.”
In her paperwork, Burruss listed the date of marriage as April 2014 and the date of separation as July 15, 2025.
