In light of the bombshell report that Kanye “Ye” West and his wife of two years, Bianca Censori, are headed for divorce following nothing less than one of the most bizarre weeks ever for the couple, the rapper broke his silence directly via Instagram, though only to post cryptic info about the definition of “coercion.”

Captioning the post “is the coercion” – in what could be a typo – Kanye, 47, added an image of the word’s definition: “Yes, coercion is illegal.”

“Coercion is the act of forcing someone to do something against their will through threats or intimidation.

“It can involve physical harm, psychological abuse, extortion, blackmail or sexual assault.”

The odd, if not vaguely threatening, post, which has since been deleted, came on the heels of a report from the Daily Mail on Thursday, February 13, that states the “Can’t Tell Me Nothing” rapper and his former Yeezy staffer turned wife, 30, are headed for a divorce and verbally agreed to a $5 million payout for her time served.

Though, the couple’s rep, Milo Yiannapolis, denied the claim on their behalf, telling The Hollywood Reporter, “Ye and Bianca are in Los Angeles, about to enjoy Valentine’s Day together. Announcements about their private life will come from them directly, not unsourced rumor in the tabloid press,” in a statement on Thursday afternoon. “Is this the fifth or is it the sixth time the press has wrongly reported that Ye and Bianca are separating? I’ve lost track.”

It isn’t the first time Bianca and Kanye have shrugged off claims they’re splitting – TMZ had reported on October 7, 2024, they were finished as a couple and had already been separated for weeks at that point, though they were spotted together hanging out all over Tokyo in the weeks that followed – but this particular report strikes an eerie similarity to Kanye and Kim Kardashian’s divorce, which also came right after one of the rapper’s public meltdowns. Kanye tied the knot with Bianca, who bears a striking resemblance to his ex wife Kim, in December 2022, just a month after his divorce from the reality star was finalized.

After Kanye and Bianca caused eyes to roll around the world with their Grammy stunt, the embattled musician launched into another tirade, again complete with anti-Semitism, sexism and narcissistic megalomania. Though, in an unnerving twist, many of his posts and comments dealt directly with his relationship with his wife, whom he claimed to have “dominion” over.

“PEOPLE SAY THE RED CARPET LOOK WAS [Bianca’s] DECISION YES I DONT MAKE HER DO NOTHING SHE DOESNT WANT TO BUT SHE DEFINITELY WOULDNT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO DO IT WITHOUT MY APPROVAL,” Kanye posted on Friday, February 7, in response to the blowback for Bianca’s “nude” dress. 

“I HAVE NO RESPECT OR EMPATHY FOR ANYONE LIVING CAUSE NO ONE LIVING CAN F–K WITH ME,” he continued.

The red carpet stunt, while initially shocking in its execution, doesn’t come as a huge surprise considering the state of their relationship up to this point. A source previously dished to In Touch Kanye’s controlling behavior toward Bianca extends way beyond her just choosing her outfits.

“Kanye also screens her social media and controls what she eats and drinks,” the insider said. “She’s not even allowed to go to bed until he tells her … Kanye now exerts total control over Bianca’s life.”
