Karen Huger was spotted leaving court after being dealt a one-year sentence for her March 2024 DUI crash.

As Gizelle Bryant, 54, reacted to the sentencing, the first photo of the 61-year-old Real Housewives of Potomac alum leaving court was shared online, just as a report revealed new information about the testimony she gave during her hearing and the judge’s reaction to her plea.

In an image posted by Bravo and Cocktails on Instagram, Karen was seen walking out of the courtroom and seemingly heading into custody, where she was expected to begin her term immediately.

RHOP Karen Huger Spotted Leaving Court After Being Found Guilty of DUI

Hours after Karen’s hearing on Wednesday, NBC4, via Bravo by Gays on Instagram, shared audio of Karen’s statements.

“Drinking responsibly, especially while taking medications, mean[s] not drinking at all. I failed at that miserably. I understand how lucky I am that I hit a tree. Thank God I did not hit a pedestrian,” Karen told the court.

According to the report, Karen, who had been arrested for DUI offenses three times before, vowed to become a lifetime member of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA).

“I was spared because I have a responsibility to use my optic lens and teach others and affect quite possibly millions of people with the message of not drinking and driving,” she continued.

Meanwhile, in his own statement, Judge Terrence McGann shaded Karen over her past offenses.

“We need to help Ms. Huger break this dangerous and destructive pattern and at the same time protect the public,” he declared.

As for Gizelle, she admitted to being “shook” as she reacted to Karen’s jail time at an event on Wednesday evening, expressing concern for her co-star.

“I am shook,” Gizelle admitted at Gizelle 21 Shady Questions Live on February 26, via Us Weekly. “This just happened today. I do not have her wigs. I am concerned. In all seriousness, I am concerned for her safety. Karen ain’t cut out for jail.”

“I pray that she’s OK and that the Lord is with her,” she added.

The Real Housewives of Potomac season nine reunion concludes with part three on Sunday, March 2, at 8/7c on Bravo.
