Kate Chastain has just moved into a new home with her 20-month-old son, Sullivan Cay.

Years after the 42-year-old Below Deck alum purchased her first “dream home” ahead of Sullivan’s May 2023 birth, she has confirmed that she now has a new space, which she described as a “historic, beautiful home,” as she also opened up about her toddler’s latest milestones.

“I think what makes this house special is I’m not a person who likes modern interior design. Like [Below Deck alum] Ben Robinson, for example, loves modern. I feel like it’s cold and too perfect,” Kate explained to The Daily Dish. “I like something with a little personality, a little imperfections. [It] makes it interesting and beautiful. I’m just really happy.”

Along with the images she provided to The Daily Dish of her new home’s entryway and patio area, Kate shared pics of her new kitchen, which boasts white cabinets and dark countertops, on her Instagram Story.

“Still need to toddler proof,” she wrote in her caption as her son Sullivan was seen opening a cabinet door.

Also living with Kate and Sullivan are their pets, including dog Halo and birds Celine and Rene, who Kate adopted in October 2024.

“At this point, what difference is [two] more things to keep alive going to make,” she joked on Instagram at the time.

As for Sullivan’s latest milestones, the child is learning his numbers and letters.

“Lately, he can count to 10. He knows the phonetic alphabet, but he’s always counting to 10. …” she revealed. “[He] loves the letters.”

“He also learned ‘No’ recently and what it means and that he can use it,” she continued. “So that’s been an interesting new development. I’m trying to replace it with please, but we’re not quite there yet. But, with time, I’m sure he’ll get there.”
