Kate Gosselin, the well-known reality star, is on the road to recovery and will soon be able to begin walking again after enduring a “life-altering” leg injury.

In September, Gosselin found herself in the hospital following an unfortunate incident where her puppy, in an energetic burst, collided with her at full speed. This accident led to a tibial plateau fracture, a significant setback for the 50-year-old.

In an update shared on TikTok this past Saturday, Gosselin expressed her delight at the news that, after 82 days of immobility, her doctor has given her the green light to slowly start walking again. This marks a turning point in her recovery journey.

During her visit to the doctor, Gosselin displayed her “skinny, little girl leg,” a result of months without use. She now looks forward to regaining strength and “building muscle” as she resumes walking.

Now that she can start walking on it again, she hopes to “build muscle.”

“The answer is yes. I’m allowed to walk. I have to start at 25 percent, the 50 percent, then 75 percent, 100 percent,” she explained. “So you won’t see me really walking immediately, but I’m excited.”

Next, the “Dancing With the Stars” alum showed herself at physical therapy beginning to put pressure and walk on her injured leg while using crutches.

After her physical therapy appointment ended, she explained what her future treatment would to look like.

“So there you have it. We’re packing and leaving to go home and I will doing a little weight bearing here and there like you saw me and increasing by the day.”

“Have a great weekend and I will keep in touch as we travel and once we get home, I don’t know how much the kids will want to be on my TikToks because I guess it’s not cool, but we’ll see,” she concluded the video.

When Gosselin’s pup first landed her in the hospital, she asked her TikTok followers for “prayers” since her injury left her so “scared.”

She underwent “surgery with plates and pins in [her] leg” and labeled the procedure her “top three most painful” surgeries.

The TV personality turned home health care nurse is known for documenting her life through social media now that she is no longer on the small screen.

Kate gives rare glimpses of her kids — whom she shares with ex-husband Jon Gosselin — although two of the eight children, Collin and Hannah, lived with their father.

Meanwhile, Madelyn, Cara, Aaden, Alexis, Leah and Joel were in Kate’s care after their nasty custody battle.

Collin, 21, has accused his mom of horrifying abuse while under her care, and blames her for him and his siblings being “forced apart.”
