Kate Gosselin is officially off the market — and she couldn’t be happier. The reality star revealed during a TikTok Q&A that she’s been dating someone for over a year.
“The answer to that question is actually, finally, yes,” Gosselin said when a fan asked about her current relationship status. “I’ve been dating somebody for the past year, little over a year, maybe like 14 or 15 months. I’m super, super happy.”
While Kate didn’t disclose her boyfriend’s name, she did give fans a glimpse into their long-standing connection. “I’ve known him for a really long time,” she shared. “I am really, really happy but he doesn’t really want to be on TikTok. I can’t blame him really, I guess. But you perhaps will catch a peep of him here and there once in a while going forward.”
Kate’s excitement was echoed in the comments on her post, where she gushed, “so so happy… finally!” She added, “It’s so nice to be HAPPY and not lonely anymore,” showing just how much this new relationship means to her.

Despite her happiness now, Kate has been candid about the challenges she faced during her divorce from Jon Gosselin. Speaking to fans on a TikTok Live, she reflected on the difficult decisions she made as a mother.
“I don’t know if you have kids or don’t have kids, but I just, I made decisions based on how I would want to be treated, honestly,” Kate explained. “And I didn’t buy into all the drama and the hate, and the ugly. And I had kids involved, so I wanted it to be as peaceful for them as I possibly could.”
Kate emphasized that her main priority during the divorce was her children’s well-being. “I did not hire an attorney that wanted to stir up trouble; I just wanted it to be peaceful, and I wanted the best for my kids,” she said. “A lot of things happened that I could not control that did not turn out well for my kids, but I did my best. We just got through it to the best of our ability.” She added, “It could’ve been a lot calmer and a lot nicer if everybody was willing to play nice.”
Kate and Jon first rose to fame on TLC’s Jon & Kate Plus 8, which chronicled their life with twin daughters and sextuplets. The show premiered in 2007 and ran for five seasons. After their split, the series continued as Kate Plus 8 for another six seasons before concluding in 2017.
