Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau made headlines with an eye-catching double date in Tokyo, joining forces with Japan’s former Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and his wife, Yuko.

The high-profile quartet’s gathering was commemorated in a formal photograph shared on X on Thursday. Perry, the acclaimed “Firework” singer, sported a chic brown mini-skirt paired with a cropped jacket and stylish heeled boots. Meanwhile, Trudeau, the former Canadian Prime Minister, looked dapper in a gray suit complemented by a tie and polished black shoes.

In the post, Kishida expressed, “Former Canadian Prime Minister @JustinTrudeau visited Japan with his partner and joined my wife and me for lunch,” notably omitting Perry’s name from the caption.

Reflecting on their past professional relationship, Kishida noted, “During his tenure as prime minister, we met numerous times as fellow leaders. Our collaboration extended to my visits to Canada, where we worked together to enhance bilateral ties, including the formulation of the ‘Japan-Canada Action Plan.’ I am thrilled to maintain this friendship in such a meaningful way.”

Perry is currently in the midst of her Lifetimes Tour, and she performed two shows earlier this week at the Saitama Super Arena.

The politician and “I Kissed a Girl” songstress first sparked romance rumors in July, when the pair was seen on a quiet dinner date in Montreal.

They were also spotted taking a walk at Mount Royal Park before images of Trudeau emerged enthusiastically taking in Perry’s sold-out Lifetimes Tour show in Canada.

Intimate photos of the pair making out on the singer’s yacht — taken in September by a tourist on a passing boat — surfaced in October, leaving little question as the state of the couple’s relationship.

A source told People last month that Perry is “making plans for the holidays” with Trudeau, and that she’s “looking forward” to the end of her tour.

Trudeau, separated from his wife of 18 years, Sophie Grégoire — with whom he shares sons Xavier, 17, and Hadrien, 11, and daughter Ella-Grace, 16 — in 2023.

Perry, meanwhile, split from “Pirates of the Caribbean” star Orlando Bloom in June after nearly a decade together. They share daughter Daisy Dove, 5.
