Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau recently took their budding romance to the enchanting streets of Paris, marking the singer’s 41st birthday with a memorable evening.
The duo was captured on video during their Parisian outing, where former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, age 53, was seen holding hands with the “Dark Horse” artist. The couple was filmed exiting a cabaret show at Crazy Horse Paris on October 25, as Perry, elegantly dressed in a striking red gown, graciously accepted a rose from an admirer. The scene was filled with warmth as onlookers serenaded her with “Happy Birthday” while the pair waved to the crowd before slipping into a waiting vehicle.
This Paris date is yet another chapter in their fast-paced romance. The pair first sparked public interest when they were seen strolling together in Montreal’s Mount Royal Park back in July. Later that day, they also shared an intimate dinner at Le Violon, a local restaurant.
The couple’s chemistry has been evident in recent months. On October 11, images obtained by the Daily Mail showcased Perry, then 40, sharing affectionate moments with Trudeau aboard her Caravelle yacht near Santa Barbara, California. Perry, who had recently concluded a significant chapter in her personal life, appeared to be embracing this new romantic journey with Trudeau.
Perry and Trudeau have since gone on multiple outings over the past several months, including a PDA-filled trip on a yacht off the coast of Santa Barbara, California, in early October.
Us Weekly learned on Friday, October 24, that both Perry and Trudeau are trying to maintain their privacy despite the increasing public interest in their relationship.
“Katy is really into it. She’s very happy,” an insider told Us. “She’s trying to keep it low-key, and they’ve spent a lot of private time together. She’s not looking to publicize this relationship.”
The source added, “Their friends think they are a good match, but he actually hasn’t met a lot of her friends yet.”
Trudeau and Perry squeezed in their latest date between concerts on the musician’s Lifetimes European Tour. Perry performed at the Accor Arena in Paris on Friday and is scheduled to be back on stage at the MVM Dome in Budapest, Hungary, on Monday, October 27. (The European leg of Perry’s Lifetimes Tour wraps up on November 11 in Madrid, Spain, before she heads to Asia to close out the year.)

Their new relationship seemingly started one month after Us exclusively reported that Perry and longtime partner Orlando Bloom ended their engagement in June after 10 years together. (Bloom shares 5-year-old daughter Daisy Dove with Perry, and shares 14-year-old son Flynn with his ex-wife Miranda Kerr. Perry was married to comedian and political pundit Russell Brand from 2010 to 2012.)
“Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on coparenting,” reps for the pair confirmed in a joint statement to Us on July 3. “They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is — and always will be — raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect.”
In September, Bloom, 48, told NBC’s Today that he was “grateful” to share “the most beautiful daughter” with Perry, adding: “We’re great [and] we’re going to be great. It’s nothing but love.”
The Pirates of the Caribbean actor even made light of Perry’s new romance with Trudeau when satirical website The Onion suggested that Bloom might start dating former German chancellor Angela Merkel in retaliation. Bloom responded in the comment section by simply writing: “👏👏👏.”
Meanwhile, Justin and his ex-wife, Sophie Gregoire Trudeau, confirmed they had signed a legal separation agreement after 18 years of marriage in August 2023. (Sophie and Justin share three children: Xavier, 18, Ella-Grace, 16, and Hadrien, 11.)
“They remain a close family,” a spokesperson for the couple said in a statement at the time. “Both parents will be a constant presence in their children’s lives and Canadians can expect to often see the family together.”
