Keith Urban repeatedly attempted to dodge awkward interview questions about his estranged wife, Nicole Kidman, in the weeks leading up to news of their split — and the internet is taking notice.

In one particular interview from Sept. 2 — just weeks before Kidman filed for divorce from him — the country hitmaker appeared visibly uncomfortable when asked about his “amazing love story” with the Oscar winner during an appearance on Australia’s Gold 101.7’s “Jonesy & Amanda” radio show.

“If you hadn’t both been there that day, would your paths somewhere have inevitably crossed? Or maybe this incredible life story wouldn’t have happened,” Amanda Keller said in video footage of the interview, referring to the pair’s initial meeting on a Los Angeles radio show.

“No, I think it would,” Urban replied tersely, turning his attention to opening a water bottle. When asked if he believed “fate” had come into play, the singer replied, “No idea.”

When Keller persisted in the line of questioning, Urban responded, “You never know. Anyway, moving on.”

The radio show’s official Instagram account re-shared the clip on Monday, and captioned it with the following: “Prior to this, Keith Urban loved chatting about Nicole Kidman with us! He encouraged it, actually. We wish both Nicole and Keith all the best ❤️.”

And that’s not the only time Urban appeared uncomfortable while talking about Kidman in recent months.

In a July interview with Ryan Seacrest, the “Sweet Thing” singer, 57, awkwardly laughed when the TV personality asked him about the iconic movie star’s busy schedule.

“Do people tell you your wife is in everything? Like everything. Nicole Kidman is in everything,” Seacrest asked, to which Urban replied that she’s “almost as busy” as Seacrest.

Urban listened silently as Seacrest gushed over Kidman’s recent spate of TV and movie appearances. “Is that something with your life, her life and mapping it all out with production and touring — that’s a job, isn’t it?” Seacrest continued.

The musician replied tersely, “It’s a job. Yeah,” adding, “Life is in session.” The Grammy winning musician remained silent and unexpressive as Seacrest mused on the pair’s nearly two-decade marriage and how they seemingly took “great pride” in making time for one another.

Page Six confirmed on Monday that the power couple, who married in 2006, parted ways after 19 years of marriage and two children.

“Sometimes relationships just run their course,” an insider previously told Page Six, adding that the “Big Little Lies” star “did not want the separation and was trying to save things.”

Kidman, nonetheless, filed for divorce on Tuesday, citing “irreconcilable differences” and including a parenting plan for their daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14. She listed a date of separation as Sept. 30 — the same day as the filing, though they reportedly separated in June.

Urban, meanwhile, has allegedly already moved on, sources told TMZ on Tuesday. “All the signs point to the fact that Keith is with another woman,” insiders close to the “Moulin Rouge!” actress told the outlet. “Let’s just say, Nicole doesn’t dispute that, but she’s still shocked over it.”

Kidman, 58, appears to be taking the split in stride — she was seen chatting and hiking with her sister, Antonia, in Nashville on Wednesday.
