Throughout the lengthy history of Survivor, there have been many fantastic seasons of Jeff Probst’s beloved reality show. While that means that new fans have to figure out which seasons to watch first, that is fantastic since fans have gotten to see many great winners and truly legendary players compete. That incredible longevity also means that fans who know former players have refused to return and about the show’s medical evacuations get to look forward to Survivor 50.

Ever since it was announced that Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans will feature all returning players, there have been a lot of discussions about who will appear. While talking exclusively to TheThings, the Survivor legend Kelley Wentworth revealed who she does and doesn’t want to see compete during Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans.

Who Does Kelley Wentworth Want To See Compete During Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans?

In April 2025, TheThings journalist Matthew Thomas interviewed Kelley Wentworth about the current state of Survivor.

During that discussion, Kelley was asked about who she thought should play during Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans.

While talking to TheThings, Kelley revealed several players she wanted to return for Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans.

“I’m in the camp of let people who have only played once, maybe twice, come back again. So I would love to see Angelina [Keeley] from David versus Goliath. I would also love to see Christian [Hubicki] from that season come back. I’m a little bit nuts in that I would still like to see someone like an Abi-Maria [Gomes] to come back just because I love the chaos, and I just think she’s fun to watch.”

Not done there, Kelley would list some other players she believes should play during Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans.

Later during the same TheThings interview, Kelley listed several more players she would like to see return for Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans.

“I feel like I could take probably half of the cast of David versus Goliath if I’m being honest. Like, I love Natalie. I love Davie [Rickenbacker]. Give me more Davie. I’m trying to think of, I’m trying to think of who else. Gosh. There’s just so many. If we’re talking new era, like, I love Omar [Zaheer]. I think Omar would be a great option. Got really far in the game. Great strategist.”

After listing all of those players from the past, Kelley explained that there were others she would love to see return, but she couldn’t think of their names at the time.

Who Kelley Wentworth Doesn’t Want To See Compete During Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans

As interesting as it is to learn who Kelley would cast for Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans, something else she told TheThings is more fascinating. While talking to the outlet, Kelley revealed that she doesn’t want any multiple-time former players, like herself, to compete during Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans.

“But in terms of people, like, even myself, people are like, ‘Kelly, we’d love to see you on 50.’ I’m like, ‘Why? Babe, why? Like, no.’ I don’t wanna see me. I don’t wanna see Boston Rob. I don’t wanna see Sandra. No shade to any of those people because I’m putting myself in that same category of, like, I’ve just played and I’ve done it, and we’ve kind of come to the end of the story. I just would like to see fresh blood. To your point, I would like to see people that can kinda give us a little bit more. We’ve only seen them one time. So what else can they pull out? What other tricks do they have?”

Later during the same TheThings conversation, Kelley bluntly called for Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans to not feature any past winners.

I would probably say no winners. I’m kind of I’m kind of that type of person where I feel like winners have won, so let’s leave them out of it.

Also during her TheThings interview, Kelley stated that she didn’t think that Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans should have players that were voted out early in past seasons. Instead, Kelley feels that Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans should feature players that made more of an impact than that. However, Kelley would really like players who had potential but were voted out too early to return during another Second Chances season.
