Kendall Jenner is candidly discussing the intricate yet affectionate dynamic she shares with her father, Caitlyn Jenner.

In the October 30 installment of The Kardashians, the 29-year-old model is seen beside her 76-year-old father during a family event, where the topic of Los Angeles wildfires arose. Caitlyn assured that her Malibu residence was safe, expressing her intent to remain outside with a hose rather than evacuate.

“I have to compartmentalize my relationship with my Dad because I love her,” Kendall revealed in a rare confessional moment. “She’s my dad. We maintain a positive relationship. However, at times, I find myself frustrated due to our differing perspectives on certain matters.”

Despite these differences, Kendall stressed the importance of Caitlyn’s presence in her life. “Beyond those disagreements, I always want her to be included,” she explained. “I’m aware that she doesn’t have much beyond her family, and I think she experiences loneliness. You never want someone to feel sad, especially your dad and someone you deeply care about.”

Caitlyn, a vocal conservative, had previously run for Governor of California but was unsuccessful in the 2021 recall election. Although Kendall did not directly mention her father’s political stance in the episode, Caitlyn’s former spouse, Kris Jenner, has criticized her for publicly expressing her political views.

“You’re not a politician, but you think you’re a politician sometimes,” Kris told Caitlyn on a 2016 episode of I Am Cait. “Sometimes, when you talk to somebody about your views, not everybody’s going to always agree. And sometimes, you can get a little cranky [about that].”

Caitlyn’s appearance on Thursday’s episode marks her first appearance on Hulu’s The Kardashians. While she was a regular on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Caitlyn had not been featured on the new series until now.

The episode included a final family dinner at Kris’ Hidden Hills home, El Dorado Meadow, which Caitlyn once shared with Kris and which was prominently featured on Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
