Kendra Wilkinson experienced an emotional moment when she was let go by a client from her real estate role.
The former reality television star expressed her distress on Instagram Stories, posting a photo of herself crying with eyes shut, accompanied by the caption, “When a client fires you… after all the work you put in. Ya, I’m struggling today, guys.”
At 41, Wilkinson candidly opened up about her challenges in the real estate industry, sharing a video that captured her tearful state.
While visibly upset, she acknowledged the broader context of difficulty faced by many, saying, “I know that we’re living in a world of struggle right now, I know that. But it’s just … it’s so hard. It’s so hard right now.”
Wilkinson, best known for her role on “Girls Next Door,” went on to express her dedication to her personal life, noting, “I feel like I’m doing everything right in my life — I’m raising my kids and putting them first.” She shares son Hank, 16, and daughter Alijah, 12, with her ex-husband, Hank Baskett.
“I’m doing everything good — I’m a good person. It’s just such a struggle right now.”
Wilkinson described problems she recently faced, including “fighting people that work with me, getting fired, people being rude and mean.”
“It’s taking a toll,” she concluded.
Wilkinson transitioned from reality TV to a full-time real estate career.
In June 2020, she earned her California license and expanded into Malibu’s luxury market.
In a March interview with realtor.com, the former “Kendra on Top” star shared that her real estate career had “blossomed” after she was hired to represent multiple properties in “the $6 million range to $20 million range” that were built by Amit Apel because of a chance encounter with his son, Vittal Apel.
“One day I was in the mall, and I was just genuinely nice to someone,” she recalled of her initial introduction to Vittal.
“We just started talking, and it was just such a nice talk, and next thing you know, he’s like, ‘I’m the son of a huge developer.’ Three years later, he called me and he’s like, ‘We’re ready to list with you,’ and I was like, ‘Oh my God,’” she shared.
“I met him randomly at the mall, so it’s all about timing. It’s about networking, and it’s about being nice to people, and being good.”
