Kim Kardashian’s outfit of choice for the 2024 Met Gala caused a lot of controversy, as did her comments about it. She wore a corset that cinched her waist impossibly, as well as heel-less shoes, and the fact that she put her body through so much for the sake of a good look had fans divided.

Now that some time has passed, Kim is reflecting on her bold decision and opened up about how she truly felt while wearing the daunting dress. Spoiler alert: it wasn’t fun for her. But that doesn’t mean she thinks it was a bad decision.

Kim Kardashian Said It Was The Most Pain She Felt In Her Life

At the time of the controversy, Kim defended her choice, but recently, she admitted that she might have gone overboard with her wardrobe decisions. After all, several hours walking on her tiptoes with her breathing restricted can’t be easy.

During a confessional on the latest episode of The Kardashians, she confessed just how much she suffered during the Met Gala, saying that she “never felt this much pain in my life.”

“I am claustrophobic,” she shared in the episode. “I’ve never felt this way before, where I feel like I can’t breathe.”

At the time, she had the plan to “sneak out right before the dinner” to change so she could enjoy the night away from the cameras, but she kept getting delayed, which left her in agony for a long time.

“It’s like I can handle it for so long, but I have to pee, I can’t breathe, I can’t get this off, so this one I was just like I’m going to die if you don’t get this off of me right now.”

Despite Everything, Kim Would Do It Again

“I’m not as uncomfortable as I might look,” Kim was seen explaining during a clip shown in the episode while getting ready for the gala. “It’s definitely a performance piece. I mean, God bless the Bridgerton cast that has to dress like this every single day. That would be so difficult.”

After the Met Gala, back in 2024, Kim worried fans when she called breathing an “art form” in a video, but even now, after admitting the experience was incredibly painful, she says she doesn’t regret choosing such a risky outfit.

“Are you ever gonna wear a dress to the Met where you can actually walk?” Kris Jenner asked her daughter jokingly in the latest episode. “I don’t know what I would do if you just walked into the Met wearing a normal dress.”

Kim laughed, and when asked if it was worth the pain, she said “Abso-f******-lutely.”

Her words are bound to cause controversy all over again, as people were already upset about the unrealistic beauty standards that her outfit set back then, and her opening up about how much she suffered will probably make fans worry about her well-being.
