Kim Kardashian did not succeed in passing the bar exam.
The celebrity shared the news on Saturday via Instagram, announcing her unsuccessful attempt at the State Bar of California exam.
“Well… I’m not a lawyer yet,” she humorously noted in an Instagram Story, adding, “I just play a very well-dressed one on TV.”
Kim expressed her ongoing commitment, stating, “Six years into this law journey, and I’m still fully committed until I pass the bar. No shortcuts, no quitting — just more studying and increased determination.”
She also expressed gratitude to “everyone who has supported and encouraged” her thus far, adding, “Falling short isn’t a failure — It’s motivation. I was so close to passing the exam, and that only drives me more. Let’s go!!!!!”
The results were released via the state bar on Friday evening to applicants only.
The Skims founder initially announced she was studying law in a 2019 interview with Vogue magazine. She told the outlet that she was inspired to become a lawyer by “seeing a really good result” with Alice Marie Johnson, the prisoner she helped to get released in 2018.
She’s since been open about her struggles in becoming an attorney — a career track her late father Robert Kardashian famously pursued.
Kim has been open about her journey with fans, disclosing that she made three failed attempts at the “baby bar” before finally emerging victorious with her third attempt.
“I failed! F–k! I failed,” the “All’s Fair” actress lamented after flunking the test for the second time, during a 2021 episode of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.” She added, “This is really annoying.”
At the time, the reality TV personality, 45, said the outcome was “pretty much the same thing … [but] a little bit worse” than her first score.
In December 2021, the elated “Kardashians” star took to Instagram to share that she’d finally passed the baby bar.
“OMFGGGG I PASSED THE BABY BAR EXAM!!!!” she gushed at the time.
“Looking in the mirror, I am really proud of the woman looking back today in the reflection,” she continued.
“This wasn’t easy or handed to me. I failed this exam 3 times in 2 years, but I got back up each time and studied harder and tried again until I did it!!!”
She also addressed the time she was forced to forgo another attempt at the text after a diagnosis of the COVID-19.
“I did have COVID on the 3rd try w a 104 fever but I’m not making excuses,” she wrote.
“I was told by top lawyers that this was a close to impossible journey and harder than the traditional law school route, but it was my only option and it feels soooo good to be here and on my way to achieving my goals.”
The “baby bar” is a California exam administered to first-year law students who are not studying at accredited institutions — Kardashian was studying with a private tutor. Kim celebrated receiving her law degree back in May.
Her father Robert, who died in 2003, was a defense attorney during OJ Simpson’s infamous1995 murder trial.
