Kiprich hit the studio immediately after being released on bail following charges for song lyrics.

The dancehall veteran, whose real name is Marlon Plunkett, turned himself in to police this week after the St Catherine North C.I.B named him a person of interest. Kiprich name popped up on police radar following the killing of alleged One Order gang leader Othniel “Thickman” Lobban.

Kiprich was charged with using audio and audio-visual communication to promote criminal activity. Sources told Urban Islandz that police named one song in particular, which they say the 45-year-old artist used to promote the One Order gang and endorse gang violence in the parish. Clips of the alleged song are currently making its way around social media as fans weigh in on it.

Kiprich was released on bail on Wednesday, with his court date set for later this month. He shared two photos of himself smiling but did not address his legal troubles. In another post, Kippo shared a video of himself in the studio recording new music, in which he denies being involved in criminal activities.

“Chat up a bag a ting, them waan see the singer mad, look out fi them inno them want everything yuh have, Mi a nuh criminal them waan say me in a gang,” Kiprich sings.

Kiprich is best known for songs such as “Telephone Ting,” “Joe Grind,” “Call Me,” “The Letter,” and “Star Far.” He has been a dancehall artist since the 1990s and is still active in the genre to date.
