Sure, Jax says he is stepping away from The Valley, but after the way this reunion wraps, we all know there is always the possibility of him ending up on our screens again. Janet‘s legalese leaves a bad taste in many people’s mouths and Janet and Jasmine try to repair their once strong friendship. But Kristen claims Janet’s alter ego on the show is malicious, which makes for a dangerous situation.
Janet’s always spilling the most. She is now claiming that Danny has been inappropriate/has made other women uncomfortable since the Jasmine issue has occurred. Janet calls on Michelle to back her up and Michelle explains that Brittany felt uncomfortable around Danny Darko on her birthday. Brittany chimes in to say that Danny tends to be flirtatious after a few drinks and Janet adds that Danny has “done things other times.”
When asked if he has a drinking problem, Danny scoffs, explaining that he has not had a drink in a few weeks. Jason claims that every person on this stage has a problem with alcohol (a bold statement) and Brittany explains that no one thinks Danny is a bad person.
Regarding *the* ring issue with Jason, Jasmine denies being the creator of the “whack” rumor. Andy wonders why Janet and Jason would continue feeding the rumor by giving it life and getting a tattoo of their wedding rings, but Janet laughs it off.
Everyone feels like Janet was looking for a storyline- that’s the only explanation for her thinking it was stupid one day and then carrying on the next. In fact, Kristen feels like that made the couple relevant. According to Kristen, Janet and Jason have not shut up about the ring rumor all summer.
Jason talks about his shock when Jasmine told Janet she had “Karen energy.” He wonders if Jasmine was manipulated by Kristen this season and feels like Janet was the scapegoat for everyone. But then Janet says snarky things under her breath like Zack introducing Jax to a good wig guy and we remember exactly who she is.
Jasmine refers to Janet as family and claims that there are layers to their friendship. There is no hate, but rather a build up of issues that Jasmine has let go for too long. Janet explains that she is cordial towards Jasmine and cries about losing their real friendship. Time will tell what happens between those two.
Jax talks about his bar getting rebranded as “Brit’s bar.” He was beyond upset, but Brittany reminds Jax that while he was in rehab, she was keeping the bar afloat. Zack talks about all the times he let Jax (and Brittany) cry to him and claims that what he says about Jax on social media is not nearly as bad as what he would really like to say. We also learn that Jax does not watch the show since he did not realize his burner account was outed on TV. Jax pretends that is not bothered or embarrassed about this.
He is also not embarrassed about selling things on eBay for money or calling the show, HIS show. Thank goodness for Brittany snapping him back to reality by reminding Jax that for the 30 days he was in rehab, no one missed him.
Luke explains that he knew Kristen was the one after the long road trip they went on in 2022 and Kristen swears she was surprised by the on-camera proposal. Luke explains that he did not include Brittany in the secret because of Jax’s big mouth. Brittany promises she did not tell Jax out of revenge for being left out of the engagement. When it comes to Janet and Jason skipping the party, Kristen is glad that they chose to bow out of the events.
Kristen gets called out for saying Janet was a “fan” of Vanderpump Rules and Kristen is swearing that Janet changed during season 1. Janet laughs off the idea of her befriending people to get onto the show, but Kristen believes that Janet developed an “alter ego” before she got on camera. Janet goes on to say she did not even know Danny and Nia before filming, but according to Nia, they were there to meet her kids. Nia has had it with Janet’s lies and worries she is going to begin contractions after this reunion.
Janet explains that she believes Danny’s actions needed to be addressed and so she used the legal term to bring up what he did to Jasmine: sexual assault. Janet goes on to say that Danny should be responsible for his actions once he put his hands on a woman without her consent. It is a loaded term, but Janet chooses to fight the battle because after speaking to Jasmine, she realizes that it is not fair that this type of thing happens all the time to women.
Nia reminds Janet that she is not sweeping anything under the rug since it has been addressed 20 times and, at the end of the day, Melissa told Janet to stop bringing it up. The majority of the group feels like Janet was being malicious by using the term sexual assault.
On a lighter note, Brittany and Zack are all good now. But Brittany still struggles with Jax. According to Luke, Jax came into a bar with “one of his ladies.” Speaking of ladies, we get a taste of what happened between Jesse‘s girlfriend and Michelle. Michelle cannot talk about it, as the girlfriend threatened her, which leaves us wanting more answers.
Andy’s final thoughts focus first on a few of the relationships. Jesse and Michelle exchanged (forced) kind words about each other and Jason still feels no resolve. Zack wants Janet to start taking accountability so they can move forward and he even unblocks Janet as an olive branch.
Jax aims for forgiveness with Brittany, but she needs him to prove himself big time. Mocktails in glass baby bottles are distributed and Brittany wraps the reunion with a toast about the group getting to a better place…wishful thinking after the way things ended this season.
WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE VALLEY?
