Kristen Doute doesn’t think Scheana Shay punched Raquel Leviss after learning of her affair with Tom Sandoval, the longtime boyfriend of their mutual friend, Ariana Madix.
While appearing on Nick Viall‘s podcast on Thursday, the Vanderpump Rules star, who returned to the show for season 10 after being fired in June 2020, commented on Raquel’s restraining order against Scheana, explained why she agreed to film, revealed the offer Lisa Vanderpump made Ariana after her messy split from Sandoval, and more.
“I know Scheana was pissed off, but … Scheana can not punch someone no matter how mad she is,” Kristen claimed on the March 16 episode of The Viall Files, via Page Six. “She waves a buck five, and her nails are longer than her fingers. It’s just bullsh-t.”
According to Kristen, Scheana “possibly pushed” Raquel and “maybe scratched her with a nail.”
“I applaud her if she did. I got backhanded by [Stassi Schroeder], well-deserved, [in 2014], and did you see me pressing charges?” she asked, giving a nod to her own affair with friend Stassi’s then-boyfriend, Jax Taylor.
Kristen went on to note that one of Raquel’s eyes has “always … been a lot darker underneath” and told her to “grow up.”
“She didn’t break your bones,” Kristen stated, comparing her alleged scratch from Scheana to someone taking “red lip liner and [drawing] a line” and joking that the injury “healed up quickly.”
As Pump Rules fans will recall, Raquel didn’t seem to be sporting the cut when she was seen in her first post-“Scandoval” appearance, and Kristen took notice, saying she had “no marks on her face” before shading her legal filing as “convenient.”
“How convenient that Raquel now does not have to sit under those hot lights and be on the hot seat. I think it’s really f-cking convenient, and it’s Raquel’s way of getting out of it,” she suspected.
Amid “Scandoval,” Kristen opted to return to filming with Ariana — only after Ariana gave her the go-ahead.
“I filmed that scene because Ariana specifically said, ‘I really need you to do this for me,’” Kristen revealed, as reported by Us Weekly. “I told her, ‘I have nothing to gain from this. I, in fact, will probably look like an opportunist or thirsty.’”

“I specifically said to her, ‘This has nothing to do with the network, the production, the ratings, whatever. What do you need? Because you’ve also now had to talk about this a million times with so many people, on and off camera. So if this is just one more time you don’t wanna do that, I don’t need to do it.’ She wanted me to, so I did,” she continued.
And despite not being on good terms with Lisa, Kristen commended her former boss for offering “off-camera” support to Ariana.
“Ariana has said that Lisa’s welcomed her with open arms, like, ‘You can come, bring your dog and your cat, you can come stay at Villa Rosa,’” Kristen revealed. “Ariana’s like, ‘Sh-t, do I do that? That sounds fabulous.’ … She needs all the love and support she can get, whether it’s from someone I don’t like or not.”
In addition to opening up about the Pump Rules scandal on Nick’s podcast, Kristen hosted her own episode of Sex, Love and What Else Matters, also via Us Weekly, during which she clapped back at body-shamers.
As fans may have seen, Kristen faced harsh criticism after paparazzi took photos of her outside of Ariana’s home.
“I text Ariana right before, like, ‘We’re in cozies, right? Because mama hasn’t worn anything but leggings since 2019.’ And she’s like, ‘Yeah, of course,’” Kristen recalled. “I’m sorry, am I standing with my posture perfect and flexing whatever abs I have left? No, I’m not. I’m not concerned about those things because I’m concerned about walking into my friend’s house and checking on her.”
“What gives you the right to comment like that? How were you raised?” she went on. “Go get f-cked, get laid. Go get laid.”
After noting that many have accused her of being “either pregnant or fat,” and slamming her critics as “rude,” Kristen admitted to shading one person in particular.
“Are you f-cking perfect? I’m so sorry I don’t have a six pack, who f-cking cares?” she asked. “Body-shaming is just bullsh-t. It frustrates me because I know my own insecurities.”
Kristen went on to say that she began gaining weight “a couple of months” after she quit smoking and recently quit working out after her trainer moved to Tennessee.
“I just haven’t put in the work lately, I know that I need to for [my] mind, body, and soul. I hold weight in places when I’m stressed out,” she explained.
