Spending a weekend with the Summer House gang in the Hamptons is always eventful, promising DJ sets by Kyle, themed gatherings, and inevitable marital disputes. This time, tensions escalate when Kyle oversteps with Amanda, prompting West to intervene. Despite the friction, Amanda decides to overlook their issues yet again, especially with Kyle’s birthday around the corner and KJ eagerly anticipating Dara‘s arrival.

After dinner, the group continues their night out, eventually bringing the festivities back home for typical late-night antics. Initially, everyone’s spirits are high. However, when Kyle takes over the DJ booth, he quickly loses his audience, leaving him feeling abandoned, particularly by Amanda, when the others step outside.
Kyle, determined to reclaim the vibe, takes his music outdoors with a portable speaker, but the atmosphere abruptly shifts. Conversations fade, and Kyle, perceiving the change, sarcastically expresses his thanks to Amanda for her lack of support. In a moment of frustration, he mutters a harsh “f*ck you” under his breath as he passes her.
The outdoor crowd is stunned. Amanda, struggling to hold back tears, confides in Ciara that this isn’t the relationship she desires. Instead of confronting the issue, she decides to retreat to bed, choosing to ignore the incident for the sake of Kyle’s birthday the next day, despite his disrespectful behavior.
Everyone out there is aghast. Amanda tearfully cries to Ciara that she doesn’t want this, but instead, she will go to bed and pretend it didn’t happen. Tomorrow is also Kyle’s birthday, so despite the sh*tty way he speaks to her, she is choosing to ignore it.
When West goes to check on Amanda, he lets her know how unprovoked that comment was. Amanda has, unfortunately, been dealing with Kyle’s behaviors for over ten years and has almost talked herself into the idea that this is the best she can get.
When Kyle enters the room, West tries to talk some sense into him, but Kyle is still clamoring about how Amanda does not make an effort with him. Kyle doesn’t seem to want to accept the fact that he said something awful to her and goes as far as calling Amanda a “dumba*ss b*tch.”
Ben explains that he has known Kyle for a year and never saw him this stressed. However, nothing warrants Kyle to blow up like that. Kyle is STILL going on and on about how it’s always a “f*ck you Kyle.” He believes that Amanda hates him and so he simply gives up.
The next morning, life seemingly goes on. Lindsay FaceTimes with her baby and Kyle claims he is only human-a lame excuse for going off on your wife.
The dudes file out to the gym and Mia and Ciara debrief about the race conversation that was held the night before. Mia appreciates everyone holding space for the conversation and not interjecting. Ciara explains how living with each other makes her want to have honest discussions about what she is going through.
Lindsay and Amanda chat about the way Carl and Amanda handled themselves at dinner. Despite Lindsay’s Carl “probably won’t have sex with you” comment, it seemed like they were doing ok.
When Lindsay hears how mean Kyle was to Amanda last night, she is in shock, especially when Amanda shares that she cried three times. It seems like no one can handle the way Kyle speaks to Amanda and Ciara is unsure what exactly is keeping them together. But, Amanda is faking it til she makes it in preparation for Kyle’s birthday party.
KJ is excited for Dara to come to the house, but he’s a bit in his head. He isn’t sure what to expect, but he knows that things are mutual despite Dara’s flirtation with Ben. His confidence quickly changes when Lindsay shares something that Bailey told her. According to Bailey, Dara and Ben were in his room together for an hour. This comes as an absolute shock to KJ.
KJ shares his “challenge” with Kyle and Carl. Carl explains that everyone in the house makes a “house relationship” their own business. KJ is feeling uncomfortable because if Dara was not being honest about that, what else is she hiding?
West still can’t believe Kyle’s rant. Kyle told West that Amanda gave him “f*ck you” eyes, which is why he went off on her and yet here’s Amanda, trying to put on a happy face after being cursed out the day before. Ben explains that Kyle is on the hook for millions of dollars for Lover Boy so that may explain some of his stress. Kyle personally guaranteed a $4 million loan, so if it tanks, Kyle is on the hook for that money.
Ciara is sick of Kyle’s excuses for his actions and states outright to Jesse, Ben, and West that she believes Kyle and Amanda should separate. The resentment is overwhelming and perhaps a break will give them the chance to take a beat.
The set-up for Kyle’s old-age party is underway when Dara arrives. KJ is trying to act normal, but it’s so obvious that something’s off, especially because he focuses all his attention on the refrigerator.
Kyle admits that he is also in a weird mood and that he is “letting his happiness get hijacked.” He says that he can’t even remember what set him off the night before and claims that he is the worst version of himself this summer; however, giving up does not seem like an option for Kyle.
KJ lets Mia and Ciara know he had a panic attack because he is overthinking things with Dara. He worries because everyone is warning him about Dara and he is busy protecting himself from liking her. Ciara gives KJ some good advice about love, bringing a girl into the house, and interracially dating. Mia reminds KJ that they are there for him.
A makeup artist arrives to help glam Kyle…or get him old. KJ tells Dara that today is “weird vibes” and spills what Bailey told Lindsay regarding Ben’s room. Dara explains that she was in there to change and states that she was simply not in there for an hour. Dara calls it “sabatoge-y” that Bailey would say that. The weirdest part about it is that KJ is having this serious conversation whilst holding a giant, fake sword.
This birthday theme is everything. Watching this crew dressed in their old people attire is amazing and of course Ciara wins, donning her Karma Brown look. The party begins, but Jesse can’t believe how normal Amanda is behaving towards Kyle.
Jesse reflects on how strange it was that Ciara said out loud that Kyle and Amanda should split up. Sure, they’ve all thought it at one point, but…. West realizes now that perhaps Kyle gave Amanda that nice present because he’s pretty awful in every other realm. West shares that he will be talking to Kyle about what went down so that should go over like a lead balloon. To be continued…
