Alexia Umansky and Jake Zingerman tied the knot on Saturday in Los Angeles in what was described as a “romantic midnight garden”-themed wedding.

While surrounded by 250 guests, including Real Housewives of Beverly Hills‘ Lisa Rinna, 62, Erika Jayne, 54, and Teddi Mellencamp, 44, and her three sisters, Farrah Aldjufrie, 36, Sophia Umansky, 25, and Portia Umansky, 17, the 29-year-old realtor and daughter of Kyle Richards, 56, and Mauricio Umansky, 55, said, “I do,” to Jake, who she met over 20 years ago in elementary school.

“I’m honestly just so excited to be growing up and sharing a home with my best friend,” Alexia gushed to PEOPLE on September 7. “We’ve always had the most, most, most fun together, so it’s maybe cliché to say, but [I’m looking forward to] just the amount of fun we’re going to continue to have.”

According to Alexia, who describes her taste as “eclectic,” she wanted her and Jake’s special day to be a “family-oriented” celebration and “something out of a fantasy book.” She also wanted it to “feel homey and as intimate as possible,” which led her to pick out “a lot of dark, rich, romantic jewel tones and sparkles.”

Throughout the planning of her wedding, mom Kyle helped “so much,” and dad Mauricio was a “cheerleader” on the side.

“In the beginning, [my mom] thought that I would be open to doing this all on my own because I can be particular. But one day I looked at her and I was like, ‘No, no, no. We need to be doing this together,’” Alexia recalled. “It’s almost like there’s a little too much pressure when it comes to your wedding day. I can’t be making decisions on my own. I need my mom to hold my hand a little bit.”

On Friday, prior to their wedding ceremony, Alexia and Jake hosted a “small, intimate” rehearsal dinner, which was catered by Chef Thomas Drury and featured music from one of her friends.

The couple’s rabbi, who still works at the school where they met, assisted with “a little Shabbat,” and the Jewish traditions continued into Saturday, when both Kyle and Mauricio walked Alexia down the aisle. As they walked together, a string quartet played “Moon River.”

Because she wanted Kyle “to feel extra special that day,” Alexia carried a rose bouquet similar to the one Kyle carried when she married Mauricio in 1996 and wore her “classic” nail polish color, a light pink.

“I know it’s very cool to do some unique flowers and whatnot for a bouquet, but my mom held roses on her wedding day, and I wanted to kind of do an ode to that on my wedding day,” Alexia explained. “Using roses is not revolutionary by any means, but I want it to feel like I am carrying on something, whether it’s big or small.”

As for her attire, Alexia said her sisters helped her get ready in an elegant skirt and bustier by bridal designer Danielle Frankel.

“Everyone should be wearing her. Her style is incredible, and it feels very vintage … her textures and her colors are just amazing,” Alexia gushed.

In a collage shared by Best of Bravo on Instagram, details from the wedding reception were seen.

At Alexia and Jake’s reception, they were treated to the same musician featured at the June 2023 Aspen wedding of her cousin, Whitney Davis, 35, the daughter of Kim Richards, 60.

“They were my one choice,” she admitted of the “absolutely amazing” band.

Their first dance was to Lola Marsh’s “Something Stupid,” which speaks of a couple similar to them, who were friends before they became romantic. As some may know, Alexia and Jake began dating in 2019 after being “best friends” for years. Then, they became engaged in 2024.

“When we first started having feelings for each other and we didn’t want to admit it, it was just one of those things where we would feel that way and think that way, and it was in the back of our head and it was so scary to say something,” Alexia recalled. “It felt reckless to say I loved him because of all of the dynamics between our friend groups and how real our friendship was, and he really was my No. 1 best friend.”

“It just felt terrifying to admit those feelings for many years. So it was kind of like an ode to those early days of how scary it was. I mean, the first time I told him I loved him, I actually bawled my eyes out … I knew he felt the same way. It was just opening up that can of worms that was a major leap of faith,” she continued. 

For dinner, Haute Chefs LA served “a little bit of everything,” including salad, pasta, short ribs, and fish, and charcuterie spreads were arranged on each table. There was also a long wedding cake with a row of candles for dessert, which each began blowing from either side until meeting in the middle and making a wish.

As she looks ahead, Alexia said she and Jake are “excited” to have kids.

“He’s really looking forward to being a dad, as I am being a mom,” Alexia shared. “[But] I think I want to be married for about a year before we start really trying … But who knows what happens? Whatever happens, I’m welcoming it.”

At the reception, Lisa, Teddi, and Erika posed with the mother of the bride.

In addition to the ladies of RHOBH, Dorit Kemsley‘s estranged husband, Paul “PK” Kemsley, 58, was also in attendance and shared a selfie on his Instagram Story amid the wedding.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 15 is currently in production and expected to premiere on Bravo sometime later this year or early next year.
