The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has concluded its 14th season, and the cast for the next installment is anyone’s guess. Now, Kyle Richards is opening up about how often she considers quitting the show as well as revealing the secret to co-parenting with Mauricio Umansky

As fans are aware, Kyle, 56, and Mauricio, 54,  announced their split in October 2023, following much speculation. Since then, they have both been linked to other people, but it is unclear if or when they plan to initiate the divorce process.

Kyle recently sat down for an interview with PEOPLE, in which she was asked about RHOBH. Specifically, they first asked if she debates quitting the show after each season. She responded, “Yes, and sometimes mid-season.”

She continued, “Of course. I mean, it’s very difficult for your life [to be] out there and have the world weighing in on analyzing things and people not knowing you know the full scope of full details. And judging you without being able to explain everything, it’s very difficult.”

Kyle then said, “So it depends on what year and what season, whether I can handle it or not.” Kyle has made no secret of the fact that she feels season 14 wasn’t very kind to her. When asked about this, she said, “Honestly, I didn’t watch, which I don’t like saying that, because I do like to watch the show, even if — I only watch it once, normally. But I like to watch even if it’s difficult. I like to watch the good end of that, but this season, it was just too challenging for me.”

She went on, “What was going on in my personal life, so I just didn’t watch the reunion. I want to go back now. I see so many clips on Instagram anyway, but you feel like you see the show. But now I want to go back, now that I’m feeling a little better.”

Kyle also spoke to PEOPLE and gave an update on her co-parenting with Mauricio. She revealed, “Mauricio and I get along really well. You know, we both want the best for each other. We love our daughters. So we were very good friends. I have his back. He has mine.”

Regarding what makes their situation work, Kyle said, “I think we’re just really good friends, and we always have been, so that came in handy. That’s one good thing out of that.”

While waiting for news on RHOBH season 15, fans can watch earlier seasons of the series on Peacock.
