Real Housewives of Beverly Hills icon Kyle Richards is teaming up with Real Housewives of Orange County celebrity Vicki Gunvalson in the thrilling new series, Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th.
A sneak peek of the upcoming episode reveals Kyle disclosing a heartfelt text she received from Mauricio Umansky on the occasion of what would be their 30th wedding anniversary.
Viewers familiar with RHOBH are already aware that Kyle, 57, and Mauricio, 56, announced their separation in 2023. Despite the split, neither party has taken steps to formally divorce.
“Today’s my 30-year anniversary,” Kyle told Vicki, 64, in a clip for RHUGT. “It just makes me sad, you know? He sent me a text, and it just set me off.”
“It said, ‘Today’s always such a hard day,’ and ‘I love you,’” she revealed about what Mauricio sent her. “He said, ‘I don’t know how we got here.’ That’s what he said. I thought we were stronger than that, you know? I really had thought that.”
“As an outsider? I thought so too,” Vicki replied.
In a confessional, Vicki noted her heart was “breaking” for Kyle “because they’ve got everything that everybody’s looking for.”
”And 30 years of marriage, and all the sudden it’s dissolving?” she added.
“The thing that bothered me the most, honestly, was people saying that we gave them hope that true love existed. And now, that went out the window for them,” Kyle divulged in her confessional. “But I understand people thinking like that.”
Kyle told Vicki she still feels something. “Not ashamed, that’s the wrong word,” she stated.
”You should be,” Vicki shockingly answered. “You let your family down. You let your kids down. You’re showing them it’s okay to bail out when things get tough. It’s not okay… You guys were the epitome of staying together forever. You’re supposed to grow old together.”
Through tears, Kyle said she was “getting better.”
”No,” Vicki insisted. “You’re not going to get better. This is what happened to Donn and I.”
In her confessional, she claimed she wished someone would have told her to “stop” when she decided to divorce Donn.
“I mean, 20 years from now, when you’re older, it’s going to be [your 50-year anniversary],” Vicki told Kyle later, leading Kyle to ask her, “Is it still going to bother me then?”
“Of course it is! It still bothers me with Donn,” Vicki confessed, noting she still wonders “what happened.”
The new episode of RHUGT will air on Bravo on Sunday at 9 p.m. ET.
