Kids say the darnedest things and Kylie Kelce is proving just that.

During the Thursday, July 17 episode of her podcast, “Not Gonna Lie,” Kylie opened up about some of the things her four daughters call their dad, her husband, NFL star Jason Kelce.

Kylie and Jason share four kids together, Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 4, Bennett, 2, and 3-month-old Finnley.

According to the 33-year-old mom, “The girls, they will occasionally call Jason ‘Jason’ or ‘Jay,’” seemingly because that’s what Kylie calls her husband from time to time.

But according to Kylie, their 4-year-old, Ellie, as they affectionately call Elliotte, has come out of left field with a name for her dad Kylie never saw coming.

“Ellie has also called Jason ‘big guy,’” Kylie revealed before making one thing “abundantly clear.” “That is not something I call my husband,” Kylie assured her fans, “but she, I believe, heard it on ‘Bluey,’” Kylie guessed.

“I could be wrong, but she heard it somewhere. She’ll be like, ‘Come on, big guy.’ ‘Time to get up, big guy.’ ‘Let’s go in the other room, big guy,’” Kylie explained. “And says it like it’s completely normal, which is ridiculous,” she admitted.

Kylie is open about her dislike of pet names for significant others. “The idea of me saying ‘babe’ or being called ‘babe’ makes me itch. In a 2024 interview with Good Mythical Morning, Jason and Kylie discussed just this.

“Kylie hates pet names or nicknames,” Jason said as the hosts asked him if he only calls his wife by her name. “I call her Joe,” Jason explained, “because when she played field hockey she reminded me of like a baby kangaroo the way she was like squatted down.”

“He found a loophole,” Kylie admitted.

During the latest episode of her podcast, Kylie again admitted she finds the nickname “Joe” sweet. “I’m fine with my husband calling me sweet names. I just don’t want to be called ‘sweetheart,’ ‘sweetie,’ ‘hun,’ ‘hunny.’ They all kinda, like make me cringe big time.”

In that same vein however, Kylie finds it “cute” when kids parrot niceties they heard her say to Jason or vice versa.

“Our girls will tell Jason all the time, like, ‘Oh, you look so handsome.’ And I’m like, ‘Glad, I say that enough in front of you,’” Kylie said with a laugh.
