Kylie Kelce is happily passing the crown to Taylor Swift!
The wife of retired NFL star Jason Kelce has long held bragging rights as the guest with the most-viewed episode of New Heights, the football podcast Jason co-hosts with his brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Kylie’s September 2023 appearance racked up an impressive 8.6 million views and cemented her spot at the top of the show’s record books — that is, until the world’s biggest pop star decided to stop by.
On Wednesday, August 14, Taylor Swift joined her boyfriend Travis and his big brother for a special episode, and the internet went wild. Within 24 hours, the “So High School” singer’s interview had been viewed nearly 10 million times, easily toppling Kylie’s reign. But rather than being upset about losing her title, Kylie was nothing but supportive — and hilarious — about the milestone.
“Officially no longer the record holder for the most-watched episode of the other podcast. There’s no way it’s even close, and I love that for me,” she joked on the Thursday episode of her own podcast, Not Gonna Lie.
Kylie admitted she saw the dethroning coming the moment she heard Taylor would be on New Heights. “It is very entertaining to watch the internet break. It’s just crumbling apart, and I love it. I love it. I love that we know that a day before it releases my interview on the other podcast is going to lose its long-tenured reign as most-watched episode, and I welcome that wholeheartedly. Let’s drop that sucker down,” she said, laughing.
Jason even poked fun at his wife’s former title at the end of Taylor’s episode, quipping, “I think Kylie enjoyed being the no. 1 most viewed episode for the time that she had.”
Taylor’s appearance wasn’t just about breaking records — she also spoke fondly of her bond with Kylie and the Kelce kids, Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 4, Bennett, 2, and baby Finn, 4 months. “You’re exactly as I thought you would be. Kylie is exactly as I thought she would be, just like the realest, the smartest, the coolest. You’re fantastic. Obviously, you know that,” Swift told Jason.
The Grammy winner even revealed she’s been perfecting a special recipe for the girls: “This one I’ve been workshopping for the girls because they love everything rainbow — funfetti sourdough. Because they love sprinkles. Like, we put, you know, we put sprinkles in everything when we hang out.”
Taylor couldn’t resist teasing Jason, too, recalling how Kylie uses the same phrase to keep both him and their kids in check. “She goes, ‘Okay, can we not do that right now?’” the singer laughed. “And since then, I’ve heard her say that exact thing to your 4-year-old about, like, ‘Mommy, I wanna throw this pudding on the wall. Wouldn’t that be fun?’ ‘Can we not do it right now?’”
