Lala Kent revealed her difficulties in co-parenting with ex Randall Emmett, and she shared where they now stand. She also addressed the claim that Vanderpump Rules is getting revamped because SUR is “dead.”

Last year, Bravo revealed that the entire cast of Pump Rules was getting replaced with new stars who work at SUR, Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurant. Some claimed that one of the castmates is a ‘look-alike’ of Scheana Shay.

On The Morning After podcast, Lala was asked what aspect of her life is “a lot” at the moment.

“My baby daddy. It’s a lot,” she said, via @byewighellodrama on Instagram. “So we have been battling for many years and we finally got all of our ducks in a row and put the custody battle to bed. But it’s just … I’m home-base for my child, and we have structure.”

“And I would blame that on being a Virgo, but I’m like, no, this is just being a parent. Like there’s bedtime and routine,” she continued. “He just flies by the seat of his pants … [He] had my daughter on, like, an 11 p.m. flight last night when she has school this morning … and I try to be chill about it and understanding that things happen, but … can we just, like, get it together for five minutes?”

But Lala shared that she and Randall are still in a “good” place, and they communicate in an “amicable” way.

“But I’m like, you got me revved up last night,” she said. “I go to bed at nine, and I wake up, and no one’s let me know if my child’s home yet. So I’m, like, texting. And they’re like, oh, we’re still in the air.”

Lala added that Randall was “cool” about her request to keep Ocean’s routine.

On her own podcast, Give Them Lala, the star addressed new cast photos for the Pump Rules reboot.

“So I’ve seen pictures and I don’t want anyone to get hung up on photos because if you remember correctly — I think it was season 10 — [they] released the cast photo of us, you guys, and we all looked so [different],” she said, via @vanderpodrecaps on Instagram. “They made Katie’s eyes either closer together or something. They made us all look not like ourselves … We looked like wax figures.”

“Someone said the [new cast’s] photo almost looks like someone went into [an] AI type thing and described the old cast, and it just shot out images of, like, what this robot thinks that James Kennedy looks like if I went to explain him,” Lala added. “Here’s the thing, I don’t want to give them a hard time. They’ve got large shoes to fill when it comes to stepping into a season 12 of a show that’s existed for 11 years.”

Lala’s brother, Easton Burningham, then shared his suspicion that Pump Rules is getting “revamp[ed]” because Lisa “wants people in her restaurant again,” as SUR is “more dead [than] ever.”

Lala responded, “[But] since the pandemic, LA is dead … I don’t think it has anything to do with the restaurant. I think Vanderpump Rules is iconic. They’re not ready to give it up, let’s give it a new wave. And I hope that people are kind and respectful and give Vanderpump Rules 2.0 a chance. The new cast did nothing to you.”
