Leonardo DiCaprio recently shared that he hasn’t revisited his iconic role in the 1997 blockbuster “Titanic.”
During a conversation with Jennifer Lawrence for Variety and CNN’s Actors on Actors series, the 51-year-old actor admitted, “No, I haven’t seen it in forever,” when asked if he’s watched the film again.
Lawrence, now 35, encouraged DiCaprio, stating, “Oh, you should. I bet you could watch it as a movie now, it’s so good!”
DiCaprio elaborated on his viewing habits, confessing that he doesn’t “really watch my films,” although he does make exceptions for a few.
Curious about her perspective, he turned the question back to the “Hunger Games” star, asking if she revisits any of her past performances.
“No. I’ve never made something like ‘Titanic.’ If I did I would watch it,” she answered with a short laugh.
However, when asked about the last time she watched one of her films, the Oscar winner admitted that she drunkenly rewatched her 2013 film, “American Hustle.”
“I was like, ‘I wonder if I’m good at acting?’ I put it on, and I don’t remember what the answer is.”
Elsewhere in their conversation, Lawrence also admitted to another funny on-set happening involving ambien.
At one point, she revealed that she accidentally took the sleep aid before heading to work that morning which resulted in her “hallucinating” during a key scene.
“It was a dance scene with Phillip Seymour-Hoffman on the second ‘Hunger Games’ movie and I was hallucinating,” she said.
The incident resulted in the actress struggling with “the memorization” part of her brain as she tried to remember her lines.
“Elizabeth Banks got really annoyed with me because maybe, she didn’t know that I was on an Ambien. But I kept asking the director, ‘Wait, and what does this mean?’” she recalled.
Lawrence and DiCaprio previously starred alongside each other in the 2021 Netflix film “Don’t Look Up.”
The two actors are reportedly set to reunite for Martin Scorsese’s horror film, “What Happens at Night,” per the Hollywood Reporter.
