Lily Allen has hinted at personal turmoil with a sombre Instagram post amidst swirling rumours of her separation from husband David Harbour.

The 39 year old singer-songwriter described her day as “depressing” in the wake of reports last month suggesting that she and the 49 year old actor had ended their four-year marriage.

While neither party has officially addressed the breakup publicly, Lily’s recent social media activity has raised eyebrows.

She uploaded mirror selfies on Instagram, showcasing an outfit and mentioning “Bitta retail therapy. for the most depressing Monday of the year.”

Notably absent was her wedding ring, which fans also observed missing in a recent clip from her podcast ‘Miss Me?’, reports the Mirror.

The award-winning artist struck a pose in a black jacket emblazoned with ‘London’ and a matching skirt, her red locks framing her face. The post quickly garnered over 5,000 likes and a wave of supportive comments from her followers, further fuelling speculation about her current relationship status.

Lily has received a wave of support from fans amid personal challenges. Followers showered her with encouraging messages on social media, with one saying: “We love you Lily. You got this.”

Another chimed in with praise: “Serving.”

A different fan highlighted the new look: “It suits you.”

Concern and well-wishes were also expressed by a fourth supporter: “Hope you feel better.”

Others joined in to cheer on Lily, as a fan commented: “Looking great.”

Another was taken with her appearance, replying: “Looks pretty cool. Nice new barnet too.”

The sentiment of hope punctuated another fan’s message: “Hope you’re okay.”

Warmth and affection were shared widely, with comments like: “Sending lots of love to you.”

Positive reactions continued to pour in, with followers admiring her hair and sending positive thoughts.

Amid this flurry of support, speculations swirl around Lily’s marriage to the famed ‘Stranger Things’ actor David. The pair reportedly formed their romance back in 2019, having met through the exclusive dating app Raya.

In 2020, Lily and David tied the knot in a Las Vegas ceremony, sharing the joyous event with fans through photos. They were accompanied by Lily’s daughters Ethel (13) and Marnie (11), from her previous marriage.

Express Online have previously contacted Lily and David’s representatives for comment.
