Summer House star Lindsay Hubbard opened up on Monday about her recent breakup with Turner Kufe, discussing their current co-parenting arrangement. During the conversation, she also touched upon her dating life and her connections with Dustin Lynch and Frank Acosta.
Reflecting on the moment she and Turner parted ways, Lindsay described it as an unforeseen event. The couple, who welcomed their first child, daughter Gemma, into the world in December 2024, decided to separate just weeks afterward.
“Anyone who has been through the postpartum phase knows how intense those first six or seven weeks can be. When you add a breakup to the mix, along with the immediate shift to co-parenting, mediation, and organizing custody, not to mention finding nearby but separate living spaces, it becomes overwhelming. [Laughs.] Last year ranks among the toughest I’ve faced, and I’ve endured plenty of challenges,” Lindsay shared with Us Weekly on July 14 regarding her experiences with Turner.
She recalled of the split, “The day we broke up, I was at a restaurant next to [costar] Yvonne [Najor]’s apartment, and I was like, ‘I’m coming over.’ I left my breast pumps at home, and I needed tequila, so she’s literally helping me hand-express the milk out of my boobs into a big bowl on my lap.”
Ultimately, Lindsay admits, “It wasn’t my first choice to be a single mom. I thought we were going to figure it out, but I’m never going to force anyone to be with me.”
Fortunately, things between the exes are going great today following mediation to sort out custody issues regarding Emma, which included a compromise that allowed Emma to appear on ‘In the City‘ with Lindsay while remaining off her social media page.
“[Turner]’s such a great father, and her relationship with him is so special. We communicate very well, so we’re nailing coparenting at the moment,” Lindsay shared. “Hopefully, it stays that way.”
When it comes to Lindsay’s next love interest, she said they would “one hundred percent” have to be okay with being in the public eye, unlike Turner.
“I don’t want to be in a position where I have to choose between a guy and my career,” she explained. “I do. I love companionship, I love operating as a team … I would love a partner that fits well into my life. [But] I’m not looking for that right now.
For now, Lindsay is “enjoying not being locked down.”
“I don’t have the energy to commit fully to any one person. I’m working on the roster. A lot of them are long-distance right now, and I like that,” she revealed.
Regarding former flames Dustin and Frank, who previously dated Real Housewives of Orange County alum Kelly Dodd, 50, Lindsay said she and Dustin were “just friends,” while she and Frank “talk every day.”
“I love [Dustin]; he’s such a great person. Frank is long-distance — he lives here, but he also lives in Miami, and he travels so much for work.”
