Lisa Hochstein explained her late arrival to Seville, Spain, after Wednesday’s episode of The Real Housewives of Miami featured her castmates expressing their frustrations with her inability to be timely.

As Marysol Patton, 58, and Guerdy Abraira, 47, defended her lateness, and Kiki Barth, 36, and Larsa Pippen, 51, called her out, Lisa, 41, admitted to being “embarrassed” as she insisted she reached out to Alexia Nepola, 58, and revealed why she missed her flight out of Florida.

“I’m actually very embarrassed. It gives me so much anxiety. I don’t want to be that person. It’s to my detriment and to everyone else’s detriment, and I don’t want that. I don’t walk into a room wanting to piss people off,” Lisa shared on the August 13 episode of the RHOM: After Show.

According to Lisa, her journey got off to a rocky start after she arrived at the airport with just “one minute to spare” and was met with an airline staffer who wasn’t quick to help.

“She goes, ’ Sorry, no.’ I go, ’There’s one minute. Check the bags.’ I was panicking, and she saw that I was panicking, and I think she kind of enjoyed it,” Lisa suspected. “And then [my boyfriend Jody Glidden] was right there cuz he’s my witness, and she wouldn’t check the bags. And I’m like, ‘I don’t care. Put the bags on another flight. Get me in because I can still go.’ She walked away. So then we did everything we could.”

While Lisa was unable to get on the plane, she did get another flight and ultimately arrived in Europe on the same night as her castmates. Unfortunately, because she doesn’t speak Spanish, she was met with more trouble once she arrived.

“I had to go on a train, and it was very like … I don’t take trains. If I’m going on a train, there’s no jewelry. There’s no bags, and I had like three bags and all my jewelry in a bag. I was terrified,” she admitted. “I did not look like I was around there .. and then I’m asking people for directions, and they’re like ’No, I don’t speak English’ … it was sketchy.”

In their own segments, Kiki noted that Lisa should have texted Julia and Marysol, since they were the hostesses, and Larsa agreed, pointing out that the ladies are in a group text. 

“She could easily say, ‘Hey guys, I’m sorry I missed my flight. I’ll keep you posted on my whereabouts.’ Crickets,” Larsa shared. 

But Lisa wondered, “Why would Larsa care if I was there or not? … [And] I did check in with Alexia and I have all the texts to prove it.”

While Marysol admitted that Lisa was “super predictable” when it comes to her arrival times, she said she wasn’t mad at her co-star.

“I’m gonna give her a pass because I feel like [Lisa] gets overwhelmed, and I think when she missed the flight, she was overwhelmed … and she was just trying to re-get herself on a flight, and she was not texting us,” she explained as Guerdy also took up for Lisa.

“[Lisa] was busy getting another ticket,” Guerdy reasoned, noting that the other women simply used the moment to “jab” at her.

“The trend is if you see somebody down, if you see someone going through a really rough time, kick them in the throat,” agreed Adriana de Moura, 59.

But Kiki felt otherwise.

“I think it’s a lack of respect at this point because when you do something so many times … not only your friend notice that, but the new girl is noticing it too. That should’ve at least pushed her a little bit, and for her to do it again, it’s like, wow, it’s crazy,” she stated.
