Lisa Rinna revealed why she really quit Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and she shared where she stands with Lisa Vanderpump — her nemesis from past seasons.

In September 2022, Rinna sent a resignation letter to NBCUniversal. Though some vocal fans were happy to see her go, others felt that her absence would affect ratings given Rinna’s talent for stirring the pot.

“It got very difficult toward the end because of social media,” said Rinna of her time on RHOBH on the Therapuss with Jake Shane podcast, via @thebravobabe on Instagram. “Everybody got really comfortable behind their computers saying anything.”

“Truly, the fans were the ones that ran me off that show,” she said. “It wasn’t Bravo. It wasn’t the girls. It was the fanbase … they villainized me in a way that I just didn’t want to live like that anymore … [And] whether you want me back or not … the fanbase has to know that it’s because of them that I left the show. And that’s something that I don’t think they want to take responsibility for.”

“I left because the fanbase turned on me,” she added. “And listen, the fanbase turns on everybody after a while, but … [I thought], life’s too short. I’m not gonna do this anymore. It was too much.”

The star also mentioned how she had just “lost my mom” at the time.

At one point in the episode, Rinna revealed where she stands with Lisa Vanderpump.

“We end up at the same sushi restaurant up the [Beverly] Glen quite a bit. And nope, no words have been spoken,” she said, via Us Weekly. “We just pretend that we’re not there. She doesn’t see me. I don’t see her. It’s hilarious because we both know we’re there. I know she’s there. She knows I’m there. It’s hilarious.”

Back in 2023, Vanderpump addressed Kyle Richards’ marital issues with Mauricio Umansky.

“With Kyle and Mauricio, I mean, I don’t have a great relationship with her, I’ve been honest about that,” stated Vanderpump at the time, speaking to Us Weekly. “When somebody calls you a liar, it’s hard to come back from that when they don’t take it back. But I have empathy. Empathy for it. They’ve got a family and beautiful girls.”
