The 62-year-old former star of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills shared a particularly memorable incident involving a hefty fine from Bravo. Recounting her early days on the show, Lisa recalled a staged altercation between castmates Brandi Glanville and Eileen Davidson. However, it was her candid nature and willingness to voice her thoughts on Instagram that led to a $50,000 penalty from the network.

In the prologue of her book, which was shared in a TikTok video by Gibson Johns, Lisa reflects on her reputation for being outspoken. She notes, “I’ve been known as a truth teller. I can’t help it. Why be anything else?” She humorously acknowledges that while her lips are famous, it’s the unfiltered words that have brought her both admiration and controversy worldwide.

Lisa admits that her penchant for public expression has often landed her in hot water, but it’s a risk she’s willing to take in her quest for authenticity. Her book promises to be a riveting read for anyone interested in the behind-the-scenes drama of reality TV.

According to Lisa, she has gotten “into so much trouble” for expressing herself publicly.

“I’ve literally been fined $50,000 by Bravo for opening my mouth and unleashing impulsive opinions on Instagram. That’s one reason why, after eight years clawing my way to the top of RHOBH I decided to leave the show,” she admitted.

Although Lisa acknowledged that her final season on the show “sucked,” she said she “had a great time” otherwise.

“There had been a lot of laughs, so many great stories, and many epic moments with these ladies,” she stated. “It was a good time, until it wasn’t.”

As for the dispute between Brandi and Eileen, which took place in Amsterdam amid season five, Lisa said it was one of her first times filming, and noted that Yolanda Hadid, 62, was also there.

“We were at a hotel restaurant when Brandi came out of the bathroom in full glam while the rest of us were daytime casual … Brandi was stuffed into a short cocktail dress, her hair in a bouffant, and with a full face of makeup, and I remember being stunned by her appearance,” Lisa shared.

At the time, Lisa said Brandi had been on the phone with the series’ producers, who were “in a panic,” for three hours, because they felt the show had grown “boring.”

“[Brandi said], ‘We gotta make something happen.’ We were supposed to be doing a real show, and here they were filming her breaking the fourth wall — a major no-no in the school of acting I came from. Sensing our surprise, Brandi explained, ‘Don’t worry. They can cut around it.’ Sighing, she added, ‘Okay, well, sorry, I feel like I have to do this, so you’re just going to have to go with it,’” she continued.

Then, Lisa revealed, Brandi threw her glass of wine in Eileen’s face.

“Turns out that little minx Brandi knew she was going to throw wine in Eileen’s face, so she figured she might as well look hot when she did it,” she concluded.

Also in the prologue of her new book, Lisa teased, “Now that I’m off the show for good, I’m ready to speak my mind.”

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 15 airs Thursdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
