Lisa Rinna Reveals the Real Reason She Didn’t Fight to Stay on ‘The Traitors’ Season 4

The Traitors season 4 saw Lisa Rinna, a well-known figure from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, ousted from the game and revealed as one of the Traitors. Recently, she shed light on why she chose not to put up much resistance at the roundtable. On the premiere day of the season, host Alan Cumming appointed Lisa, alongside Candiace Dillard Bassett from The Real Housewives of Potomac and Rob Rausch from Love Island USA, as Traitors.

Lisa, famous for her bold personality, quickly became a prime target on The Traitors. Colton Underwood, known from The Bachelor, spearheaded efforts against her. She narrowly escaped banishment at a prior roundtable, which saw even Rob, a fellow Traitor, cast a vote against her. Tasked with executing a murder openly, Lisa cleverly lured Yam Yam Arocho into touching her amulet. As he was taken away, the Survivor champion humorously shouted that Lisa had kissed him.

In reality, it was Lisa’s amulet, not her playful air kiss, that sealed Yam Yam’s fate. Despite this, suspicion had already mounted against her, culminating in her banishment, once again with Rob voting her out. Lisa’s lack of resistance at the roundtable surprised many, including Colton, who expressed his disappointment, expecting her to exhibit the same fiery spirit she’s known for on Housewives. Lisa has since offered insight into her more reserved approach during the game.

Of course, it wasn’t Lisa’s air kiss that did Yam Yam in, but rather her amulet. Still, the seed had been planted against her, and she was banished, once again with a vote from her fellow Traitor, Rob. Lisa didn’t put up much of a fight before she was banished, which even prompted Colton to tell her that she wasn’t acting like the Housewife that he was expecting. Now Lisa explains her subdued behavior.

In an interview with EW, Lisa admitted that she didn’t fight harder to stay on The Traitors season 4 at her final roundtable because she knew that her time was up. She stated, “I didn’t care. I wanted to go home. I could care less at that point.”

Lisa went on to say that there was nothing that she could say to save herself without giving herself away as a Traitor. She explained, “I’m going home, what am I supposed to say? Why did Yam Yam say your name? How would you answer that? I don’t know. ‘He got it wrong. It’s not the kiss. It was the amulet.’ Can’t say that at the roundtable, then they would know I’m a Traitor.”

Lisa Had A Specific Roundtable Strategy During The Traitors Season 4

Lisa also stands by everything she did at her final Traitors season 4 roundtable, pointing out that critics have no idea what they’d do in a situation like that. She said, “It’s really interesting how people go, ‘I would’ve done this in that moment and this is what you should have done.’ Are you kidding me? Good luck. I loved everything I did.”

Lisa continued by noting that she would’ve been banished much earlier if she’d called more attention to herself at previous roundtables. She stated, “Some people like Candiace are really good at it. I know that I needed to be quiet because if I was too loud at that roundtable, I would’ve gone much sooner. I went with my gut, played it the way I did, and I knew it was over. I wasn’t going to really defend and fight for myself too much because I did as much as I think you could. I’m no dumb dumb. I know that my time is up.”

Although Lisa was banished from The Traitors season 4 and exposed as a Traitor, she’s right that, if she’d been more vocal during the game, she would’ve been sent home much sooner. It’s good to hear that she’s at peace with how she played the game and proud of herself, and that she was ready to leave when her time came. Lisa was very entertaining to watch on The Traitors season 4, and she’ll be missed in the castle full of mayhem and murder.
