Facing a storm of criticism, Lisa Rinna, known for her role on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, has stirred controversy by claiming that Patrick Clancy, not his wife Lindsay, was behind the tragic deaths of their three children.

Rinna shared a video in which she, now 63, questioned accusations leveled against Lindsay Clancy, who allegedly killed her children by strangulation in 2023. Rinna’s defense was rooted in a stereotype, insisting that such acts are atypical of women. This assertion led to a wave of backlash, with many condemning her for what they described as “brain rot.”

In the video, Rinna steadfastly maintained her stance, repeating, “Alright, he did it. Patrick did it. Patrick’s the one who did it. Not Lindsay. Patrick did it.” Her statements have sparked widespread debate, especially since there is no evidence to support Patrick’s involvement in the tragic events.

According to Lisa, Lindsay couldn’t have committed the heinous crime because she heard “that women typically don’t strangle.”

“[It’s] so awful to even say. But that isn’t what a woman would do. They don’t strangle. I was actually in therapy the other day, and my therapist and I were talking about it, and I said, ‘Well, what do they do?’ She said, ‘Well, they poison or drown them,’” Lisa continued. “We literally had that conversation today, and she looks at me, and she goes, ‘He did it.’”

“Wow! And now, yeah, yeah,” she added.

Following the sharing of the post, one person replied, “Remember, ret*rds like this are on juries.”

“That’s just ridiculous and shows a blatant lack of understanding about human behavior,” said another.

A third slammed Lisa as a “crazy woman,” and they added that her therapist was “crazy” as well.

“So this crazy woman was talking to her crazy therapist and decided that the crazy woman that admitted to killing her kids is innocent because that’s not how they would have done it,” they wrote.

Others suggested Patrick sue Lisa for defamation.

“This man needs to take her to court. As if feeling helpless to help his wife and LOSING his children is NOT tragic enough she’s slinging this garbage accusation to millions of people who are JUST AS CRAZY and will believe her. He will be harassed now,” someone mentioned.

“I really hope Patrick Clancy sues the bigger figures like this. This is absolutely defamation,” another person agreed.

Someone else recalled a past scene from RHOBH when Lisa seemingly attempted to strangle her then-co-star, Kim Richards, 61, for mentioning a rumor about her husband, Harry Hamlin, 74.

“Is she getting dementia therapy? She literally went to strangle Kim Richards as a raw anger response?” they noted. “[Then] broke the stemware at the restaurant to ‘cut a b*tch’ on camera RHOBH. I can’t stand her lies, all the time. Blatant and stupid.”

Lisa Rinna was featured in a full-time role on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills from season five to season 12.
