Love Is Blind Crosses Borders: USA and UK Couple Celebrate International Wedding

Love Is Blind has made history by uniting its first-ever international married couple! AD Smith from Love Is Blind USA and Ollie Sutherland from Love Is Blind UK happily announced last week that they have officially tied the knot.

Their relationship has been in the public eye since they initially connected on another Netflix reality show, Perfect Match. However, the news of their marriage came as a delightful surprise to fans who have been following their love story closely.

The couple shared an exciting update during the Love Is Blind Season 8 reunion. A video clip played during the event showed the heartwarming moment of their engagement. In the clip, Ollie is seen kneeling down and expressing heartfelt words to AD before proposing.

AD Smith And Ollie Sutherland Are Officially Married

Fans first got to hear an update about the couple during the Love Is Blind Season 8 reunion, where production played a video clip of AD and Ollie’s engagement. In the video, Ollie can be seen getting down on one knee and making some sweet remarks to his partner before popping the question:

You’re my best friend. You’re the love of my life. I’ve never felt as happy or as complete as I have since I met you. And nothing would make me happier than to spend the rest of my life loving you. Amber Desiree Smith, will you marry me?

While AD and Ollie participated in separate seasons of Love Is Blind and got engaged to other people, they both ended up splitting from their partners, only to connect later on the same season of Perfect Match. The pair officially tied the knot in Beverly Hills, which Ollie confirmed when he posted a series of wedding photos on Instagram which he captioned “The Sutherlands,” letting fans know that AD had officially taken his last name.

Some other Love Is Blind alum left their support in the comments. “Congratulations guys!! and I saw it all blossom,” wrote Freddie Powell, who appeared on the same season of Perfect Match.

While the pair first hit it off while on Perfect Match, Ollie explained that participating on Love Is Blind helped get him in the mindset of looking for a lifelong partner. He elaborated that he actually credited the dating series for setting him up for success with AD:

I think even as early on as when we were on Perfect Match, I noticed that we were having the deeper conversations, the more important conversations. Talking about shared values and similar outlooks on life. I think that really laid the groundwork and the foundation for the beautiful relationship we have now. And I definitely attribute a lot of that to our experiences on Love Is Blind.

Only time will tell if the newly married couple has plans to expand their family.

As for the most recent season of Love Is Blind, the contestants weren’t as successful in finding lasting romance. For the first time in the show’s history, not a single couple in Season 9 walked away married.

While two couples made it to the altar in the final episode, they didn’t ultimately exchange their “I do’s.” However, the show’s creator Chris Coelen remains confident in the dating experiment, and Netflix has confirmed there will be additional seasons to come.
