In a surprising twist, the ninth season of Love Is Blind marked a first in the show’s history: not a single couple walked away married. Although two pairs made it as far as the altar, ultimately, every engagement ended in disappointment.

Among the most intricate relationships this season was the one between Joe Ferrucci and Madison Maidenberg. Joe, who had previously expressed doubts about committing to Madison, later disclosed during the Season 9 reunion that he had moved on and started dating someone else.

During the reunion, Joe took the opportunity to update everyone on his current situation. He shared that he had been in a new relationship for several months. He mentioned his new partner’s name, Averee, but explained that she wasn’t present in the audience that evening.

Joe’s New Girlfriend Is Averee Madison

At the Season 9 reunion for the show, when it was Joe’s turn to give an update on his life, he revealed that he’d been dating someone new for the past several months. He revealed that her name was Averee, though he noted that she wasn’t actually there in the audience that night.

Joe also revealed that Averee had a connection to someone else on the cast—she’s friends with Kait Nemunaitis, another participant from the experiment, and the two shared the same friend group prior to filming.

Though Joe said that things just “fizzled out” with his partner from the show, Madison, he explained that, thus far, things were moving along slightly more smoothly with Averee. He told the show’s hosts more about their exact timeline:

Averee Is A Dating Coach For Men

Since going public with their relationship, Averee has opened up more about what she does for work. Though her day job involves working in family law, on the side she also runs her own business working as a dating coach for men.

When Averee was teased about the irony of being a dating coach for men while also finding herself in a relationship with a man who wasn’t able to commit during the season of Love Is Blind, she joked, “It’s a balance.”

Still, it seems that the new pair is going strong, and Averee has since posted several photos of her and Joe together on her Instagram page. In one carousel of photos, she added a very romantic caption beneath the images:

In hindsight, Joe has said that he believes he wasn’t ready for the intensity of the dating experiment, even if he was ready for a relationship. “It felt a little faulty on my part, and I could have handled it better. That’s the story of my experiment on TV. It just felt disingenuous on my part to even be there, if I didn’t think we had enough time to get there or if I knew this wasn’t my person,” he said.

Netflix has since announced that more seasons of Love Is Blind are still to come.
