This season of Love Is Blind has introduced viewers to an intriguing couple: Jordan and Megan. Their match might raise eyebrows at first glance, given that Jordan is a single dad and a self-made millionaire, but their connection in the pods has quickly made them one of the show’s most promising pairs.
As viewers eagerly anticipate Netflix’s release of the wedding episodes, Megan remains confident in her choice of Jordan as her life partner. A significant factor in her conviction is the extraordinary bond between her late father and Jordan’s son, as both share a battle with diabetes. However, this reasoning has sparked debate among fans, with many questioning the weight she places on this coincidence.
The first meeting between Jordan and Megan’s family added another layer to their story. Megan’s sister shared a dream where their deceased father appeared, saying Jordan’s son resembled him. This revelation came before Megan mentioned the diabetes link, leading the family to view their relationship as fate.
Megan And Her Family Believe Her Relationship With Jordan Is Fated
When Jordan sat down with Megan’s family for the first time, her sister admitted to having a dream where her and Megan’s late father said that Jordan’s son was just like him. This happened before Megan had even told them about the diabetes connection, and the whole family took it as a sign that Jordan and Megan meeting was destiny.
While the group shared a tender emotional moment in the episode, fans on a Reddit forum felt differently. One user pointed out that it felt strange and like unnecessary pressure to put on Jordan and his son:
Why is no one mentioning how oddly Megan and her family are attaching their emotional baggage to Luca? Like this kid is not here to fulfill some weird script for you. I get it, but it’s gotta be a little alarming for Jordan, all the grief for his son’s future.
“Right? I would be super weirded out if I were Jordan,” commented another. “Like it’s good that they have familiarity with [Type 1 Diabetes], and yes we can all agree it’s sad for a little kiddo to have to deal with that — but it doesn’t mean anything more than that,” they added.
For his part, Jordan hasn’t mentioned whether he too believes their connection to be the work of fate.
Some Other Fans Doubt Jordan’s Sincerity
This isn’t to say Jordan is entirely innocent in the dynamic, either. Elsewhere on the same forum, some viewers commented that they didn’t find Jordan to be very genuine, with some going so far as to say they doubted whether he was really in the experiment for love.
In particular, fans honed in on the fact that Jordan didn’t seem to be very expressive or show much affection during his scenes with Megan:
I know everyone says Jordan is their favorite and he’s not problematic, but something just feels so off about him. I don’t think he likes Megan at all or finds her attractive at all. There seems to be no chemistry or sincerity there on his part.
“I am searching for his interest too! He seems very blasé about the whole experience,” another user added. As of this article’s writing, Megan and Jordan are still happily together, and even went to look at homes for sale in the Denver area that could potentially house their blended family.
