Love Island USA Season 7 is heating up everyone’s television screens when it comes to all those steamy make-out sessions during the challenges. Although the games have tested quite a few couples in Fiji, it’s been peak television to say the least.

The Islanders were caught off guard when a famous reality star joined them for a lumberjack challenge. On the Sunday, June 15th episode, the couples got hot and heavy in another steamy game with surprise help from Summer House star Paige DeSorbo.

Love Island USA Welcomed Summer House Star Paige DeSorbo For Week 2

What sets Love Island apart from most dating reality TV shows are the playful, often steamy challenges, where Islanders lock lips with one another and make fans blush in the process. On the Sunday, June 15th episode, the islanders were dressed as lumberjacks as they headed to their next challenge, which definitely did not disappoint.

The challenge that day was full of surprises, but the biggest one of them all was seeing Summer House star Paige DeSorbo walking in to host. When the islanders saw Paige step out in a sexy ensemble, they cheered, knowing that it was certainly shocking to see the Giggly Squad podcast host join them in Fiji.

Paige introduced herself to the Islanders, although we’re sure all of them were well aware of who she was. “I’m a huge Love Island fan,” she tells them, adding, “You guys have been killing it all summer. You all look amazing, you’re definitely the sexiest lumberjacks I have ever seen, not that I have seen a lot.”

The game kicked off with Paige effortlessly stepping into the host role. The Islanders had to call each other out with revealing questions, then pick a stuffed beaver to determine who they’d sneak off with into a secret room behind Paige, for a make-out session. Surprisingly, many chose to lock lips with people outside their current couples, adding even more drama to the villa.

However, mid-way through the game Paige was no longer hosting and fans saw the remaining Islanders pick up where she left off. Her sudden exit totally confused viewers, but she’s since spoken out about why she had to step away from the challenge.

Paige Had A Medical Emergency Mid-Way Through The Love Island Challenge

After fans were left shocked and confused by Paige’s sudden disappearance from the challenge, she finally explained her early exit on Sunday’s episode during her Giggly Squad podcast. On Tuesday, June 17th, DeSorbo revealed that she had to leave the game after feeling “queasy” and later “passing out” because of the heat.

Fans were quick to notice Paige’s head-to-toe ensemble, which was definitely the wrong choice for the Fiji heat. According to Travel Fiji, June temperatures on the island often hover in the 80s, which may sound pleasant to some, but working under the sun all day in a suede turtleneck outfit like Paige’s could be downright brutal.

“It’s a long filming day, and we started pretty early,” she began. “And mind you, I had just landed — not even a full 24 hours that I am there. I’m not even acclimated. But I’m fine, I’m not gonna say that. I’m not gonna be a diva. Like, I’m doing a job.” Paige shared that she wasn’t nervous at all about her hosting gig, but the sun began “beating down aggressively” on her.

She continued, “I’m like an hour and a half into filming, and I’m like, ‘You know what? Real quick, I’m feeling a little bit queasy. Let me take a minute to myself,'” before adding, “I throw up.” Paige then shared that she was okay to go back to filming, but she ended up going into the cabin that the Islanders were making out in and “passed out.”

Interestingly, earlier in the episode, Paige was told that her outfit was “perfect” by production since they wanted her to find something that matched the lumberjack challenge theme. It’s possible they prioritized the look over comfort, without fully considering the intense Fiji heat.

Paige Will Not Appear On Summer House Season 10

Although Paige had to cut her time short with the Islanders, it’s possible she may pop up on other reality TV shows now that she’s no longer filming Summer House. After the ninth season concluded, Paige announced on Instagram on June 5th, that she was stepping away from the show and would not be part of Season 10.

“I’ve made the decision not to return to Summer House. Being part of this show has been one of the most rewarding chapters of my life – the friendships, the drama, the giggles. All unforgettable. You’ve seen me grow up over these last 7 summers. I’ll always be grateful for the memories, the community, and the opportunities this wild ride has brought me.

But like all good things (and some bad decisions), it’s time for this chapter to close.

And you haven’t seen the last of me, I promise. So much more to do together, but for now you know you can always find me and Daphne in my bed.”

Fans will also no longer see one-season star Lexi Wood in the upcoming new season. After a summer spent in a rocky relationship with Jesse Soloman that ended sour, Lexi shared on Instagram that being on the show “definitely taught me a lot” and added, “I stood up for women and for what’s right, even when it wasn’t easy, and I’d do that again in a heartbeat.”

However, fans will see OG stars Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula back in the Hamptons. During an interview with Page Six, the couple officially announced their return for the tenth season.

“Yes, we’re coming back. We feel very lucky to keep doing our thing. I think it should be a good summer,” Kyle shared. He also spoke about Paige leaving the show: “Obviously, there’s been some change, we’re going to be missing our besties out there, but at the end of the day, I think change is exciting and I’m excited for everybody that’s kind of starting a new chapter off the show, so it is what it is.”
